Just an update on the bleachers.Jeff and his crew [seven of them] went down to Martinsville,Va. for 7 days. They were greeted and surprised to see French Grimes there. They were treated with unbelievable hospitality.Jeff had made hotel resavations and to their surprise were given a four bedroom home to use. They took them out to dinner every night and showed them the town. They transported the bleachers over Thanksgiving,.Started sandblasting and painting them.Last weekend they got the first section in place. Each section will seat 91 fans. All the seats and running boards are new and painted.I can tell you one thing, it is alot harder to install than what Jeff and gang first thought. They hope to get 6 sections in before the ground freezes. Then they will go back inside to finish the concession stands. Thanks French, you know everybody.

OK guys I haven't raced in years but this new limited late class has my interest. I was hoping to get some opinions on this car I found and if it would be legal for the new limited class at Amp. Here is a description of the car. - For Sale: very nice street stock/limiterd late model.New orange aluminum body,355 with world product heads, camaro front stub with shocks and coil suspension, built off of a 2002 rocket chassis, ford 9" floater with coil over rear shocks.5,000.00 race-ready

Mash the loud pedal.

Thanks for the reply, I kinda figured that but the ad says it ran up at Eriz speedway in the limited late division, I guess I will have to keep looking. PS its a really nice looking car for someone racing up that way, its on Penswoods classifieds.

You can buy that car for 3500 minus the motor. Just because it has a Camaro front clip, does not make it illegal. It is actually a disadvantage to run it against the full tube frame cars. There is a 97 Swartz just advertised on racingjunk and pennswoods full roller for only $1400 so check it out quick or it will be gone at that price.

there is a rule in the semi late-models that states no clip cars , so it is not legal. however the swartz car is legal and for 1400 dollars it comes with all the stuff he has minus motor and transmission.

For 1400 it must be in outstanding condition ...

i don't know what the condition it is in, there is a picture of it on racing junk.com under the late model section ,but i would say if you have a 355 laying around and a power-glide transmission you could go do some racing in the semi late class and not have an load of money in a car . pretty hard to put a car together any cheaper is all i am saying .

I guess it all depends on how much your safety and well being means to you and your family.
With something this old i'd be having someone that knows what they're looking at to check all the welds and tubing thickness.
I have seen a few chassis a lot newer than this that set outside and some of the tubing was corroded from the inside out so thin that you could punch holes in it with your fingers.

That car there is a brp can am type rules and also stateline/eriez type limited late Anyone know the reason for outlawing clip cars? I understand the have a bigger frame in the front but it seems like they would be at a disadvantage personally, is it a safety concern?? I personally have ran a clip car against steel blocks and they are a disadvantage but dont think they should be outlawed.
