Meetings will be held at the track: 10:00 AM Crate Late Models 11:00 AM RaceSaver 305 Sprints 11:30 AM Pure Stocks

I'm planning to do alot of "specials" anyway, but it looks like when I do go to a reg show, it won't be dh, with a line up of no street stocks, and the sprints destroying what is left of a track that is in sad shape, and the 4cyl.... not paying just to watch LM and crates, they better hope the pure stock class brings in better numbers/ :( Hope they bring in the ULMS and the UEMS this year for a show or two. :) :) :)

streetstock counts were way down i agree with you about 305s im not a fan

I am told there is new clay on the track. That could make a difference in car counts since one of the major complaints was tires didnt last as long as they did at MCS or other tracks.

Jim Michney could have one of the most sucessful Friday nights tracks ever! But he just doesn't get it! Its all about the payout for the drivers! He seems to be good enough for the 4cyl and Pure stock guys! Seems to be ok for the crate mobiles.... But just doesn't get it on the latemodels! Last year he raised the feature payout to $1200.00 to win But still pays $150.00 for tenth! He would of been better off to pay $250.00 for tenth and $900.00 to win! Only one person can win! I think Jim could have 25-30 lates a night if he had a decent payout! Same storie with Marion center! So here is my proposal to both tracks! Look at what your competition pays! TVR and Bedford, and Roaring knob! Raise it up and you will take thier business! Not Rocket Science! Just common sence! Or you can keep paying a sub standard purse and have just what you have now! Ten Ligitimate cars at each track! You pay the money.....you get the cars....then you get the fans! Thats how it works!

I dont see how u say the 305 tear the track up they never go out first late models are allways out before the 305. The track is allways hard as a rock so what is there to tear up? As far as the classes go if ur not getting a car count in a class dont waste everones time with 4 cars.

Everyone has a right to speak thier mind, so I will speak mine..... I dont see how its it possible for anyone involved with dirt track racing to even try to say that a Sprint car would tear a track up...Seriously?? With our big wide tires?? really?? The cars that race ahead of us with the small, narrow tires rut up the track!! Not the big wide sprint car tires... Also, I agree with Walker Racing, the track is normally hard when we get out on the track.. The sprints are the fastest cars on the track at any given night! We provied the most passing of most classes!! Those are facts... We dont knock each other out to make a pass, we race each other clean! Thanks and have a nice and safe race season in 2013!!

Keep one thing in mind: late models have over 750 hp and 305s have 450 on a good day.....the 410s didnt destroy the track on those two dates and most average from 750 to 875hp....sprints roll throught the corners while fender cars throw em sideways....I really dont have a dog in the fight, but we all need to use common sence and some intelligence when trying to argue

Really??? You must not watch too many late model races.
The fast guys that are winning all the time are far from throwing them sideways through the turns.
No division hurt that track. The lack of clay and abundance of boulders is what's hurting the racing there and the teams wallets/tire bills.
Put the clay back on it like it was when they first opened and you'll not find a better racing surface that lasts all night long.

I agree 100 percent about the clay, we stopped going there and wont be back until there is an attemp to make the place better (which by the talk, new clay has been put down - so it is a great start) but I never said the late models or the crates were the culprit, nor many front runners in any division, but the further back in the field you get, the more some throw them..

Help me out PS drivers. Why can't we get a good field of cars at DHS? Is it the tire costs cuz there was not a good surface each week or something else? We are gettin a new surface for 2013 to curb those costs. I can recall in 08 the lowest car count we had was 35 cars. In 2011 there were nights we didnt have 8 cars. The payoff is not bad compared to other local tracks. i am sure not the promotor but i would like to know the reason we dont get more cars in PS as would the promotor. I fear our beloved sport is going to go by the wayside without some input from the competeitors and the fans. We as competetiors need to be concerned the tracks are making some money or we wont have places to race and our equipment and cars will be big White Elephants.

cheating is #1 reason and lack of teching, people all spending tons of money just to win a few bucks.these guys start in the back and are up front in a couple of laps, basicly stealing money from all you other guys that are not cheating.level the playing ground and drivers will come back.just my opinion
