I would worry more about the below rules than the price. Something about your not allowed to see the result but we will let you know if your legal doesn't sit well with me. I don't know if this is common for the big cars but coming from karts it surprised me.

2.CRATE RACIN’ USA USES “THE SNIFFER” AS ITS SOLE TOOL FOR CHEMICAL DETECTION. AT ANY
TIME “THE SNIFFER” DETERMINES THERE IS AN UNAPPROVED CHEMICAL PRESENCE WHETHER
INSIDE THE TIRE, WHEEL, OR OUTSIDE THE TIRE, OR WHEEL, THAT DRIVER/DRIVER’S WILL BE
DISQUALIFIED FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE RACING EVENT. TIRE/TIRES IN QUESTION WILL BE
CONFISCATED, AND DRIVER/AND OR CAR OWNER MAY BE FINED UP TO $1,000 PER TIRE, AND
COULD BE SUSPENED AT SERIES OFFICIALS DISCRETION. DRIVER AND OR CAR OWNDER WILL BE
NOTIFIED IN WRITING OF DECISION, ALL DECISIONS ARE FINAL.

3. IT IS THE DRIVERS RESPONSIBILITY TO KNOW WHAT IS ON THEIR RACE CAR AT ALL TIMES. ANY
USED WHEELS OR TIRES THAT MAY BE SUSPECT BY THE DRIVER SHOULD NOT BE USED. THE
DRIVER OR A CREW MEMBER MAY BE IN TECH AREA TO VIEW WHAT IS BEING TESTED, BUT WILL
NOT BE ALLOWED TO VIEW “THE SNIFFER” READINGS. THAT INFORMATION IS THE SOLE PROPERTY
OF CRATE RACIN’ USA, AND DRIVERS WILL BE NOTIFIED SIMPLY IF THEY PASS OR FAIL.

That sounds like a reaction to the Marlar debacle last month.

No one, that I know of, has ever gotten a discount on FASTRAK tires. Same price for everyone.

what i want to know is whats approved chemicals. and what if you drive over something coming off the track and the sniffer says illegal. thats 2000 dollar fine and what else and you cant do nothin about it , too much of crate racin is out of the racers hands to be responsable for

D21's are the same price as the ft200's, just used for a different series as their "spec" tire of choice. Never durometered one to see how close they are to the ft 200 though. The tire cost pays the points funds in these deals and that's why everyone pays. Stinks they can't run one tire and keep costs down for guys to run both series occasionally.

The RUSH tires will also be a spec tire with their own stamp.... the prices of these tires will also be the same for everyone. No tire deals, no discounts.

The RUSH tires are patterned off a Hoosier Premium Late Model tire, but are a spec tire...not an Economy Stagger Block like the Fastrak tires. The RUSH tires have "U" and "P" tread patterns, depending on the size you get and whether or not you are using it as a drive tire or steering tire, if you go to Hoosiers website you can see the pattern.

Maybe I am reading wrong, but it looks like the D21 and D55 are a "w" pattern tire.
