I dont see anything funny about it, but you probably never tried to operate a business in todays world, trust me i have seen many things change in the economical side of business these days, just try to run a business yourself thesedays, better yet just try to keep up with us business owners and then see if you laugh,go back to your 9 to 5 job and stop commenting on something you know nothing about.http://www.hesstonsp....com/shares.htm

I will go back too my job, just explain this first. You can categorize me however you deem necessary. But the questions I have are simple, is this a method used by other tracks? Is there a population of race fans with 25k too invest in an endeavor like this? What are the benefits and gains of a situation like this for an investor? Eldora, Lernerville, Williams Grove use something similar? Why 25k? Why not 5k? These are questions I'm sure others had. Thank god Jim Cramer decided too respond so now answers too this can be had.

i have no clue why someone would wanna invest that much for 6 races a year...that's almost 5000 a race
As allways Suhoney....Glad to to see your business mind is ontop of it! Think Back two months ago! Dave Eriksen had to take a beating at the Fall Fest Race! Friday night the Grandstands looked like a a West Virginia smile! Saturday night he only had 42 cars! No weekly racing for 2013....specials only! So you can figure he must not be making money on the bi weekly shows! If he was....he would be running them! And I don't think he is making money on the Specials as well! Add in his health situation.....and you have a guy that is looking for a little help! He has done an amazing job refurbishing the track! But it is just another track in the middle of no -where! Tought to fill the seats and make money, when the population around you is sparse and out of work! ! Location is everything!

Hopefully when the form the hesston speedway congress they will vote to race if its a little cloudy or a small rain shower goes through the night
With all due respect to Dr. Eriksen....it seems to be all about the money! NoBody wants to loose any money! But today these Promotors are just about making money! There aren't and Don Martin's or Piney Lasky's around anymoore! These were wealthy men that loved racing and didn't care how much money they lost on Promoting Racing! In both cases....you can see how long the Families ran the track after there passing! Once they figured out they weren't going to make big money...they sold! For Big money! I actually thought it would be moore about the racing with Dr.. CONSIDERING ITS THE TRACK THAT HIS MOTHER AND FATHER BUILT! I figured it would be about local racing for the local people! But I guess not! But remember...he also has some serious health issiues to deal with that may be affecting his plans for the track! I personally would never support a track that is specials only! I supported Jack Lenze till he cancelled the weekly show, then mooved on! But to me....Local dirt track racing is History! The cars the people the tracks! They are like Shrines to me! So I guess I allways put a sentimental value on this sport! Maybe some investors will come in and want to bring back a weekly show!

Lets not forget the real gripe in this all. Hesston operated since the mid 90's weekly, with full fields in non headline classes, drew good fields, and had a fan base that supported it weekly since its inception.
What Eriksens dreams of the place were when he bought it was well intended, and improvements been made are nice but on the whole what was we he really investing in? Its a like a kid who buys an 87 Buick Skylark that runs really good, then invests in big rims and NOS, its cool, but youre still in a Skylark, just a nicer Skylark.
Just the understanding of why was all of this money and effort put forth too fixing it up, if you cant afford too race the place. He took it over, the racing has gone from a whole season dwindling too nothing, the racing surface has gone too hell, walls were installed that stole a complete racing lane from the place. Parking lot is an epic disaster. Just a Classis example of fixing something that wasnt broke. Its went from a daily driver too a street rod that sits in the garage.

i enjoyed myself when i went there...i was just stating who wants to pay 25 grand to be an owner when the track barely runs??No question you are a person who likes to bash other people, maybe you need go work for this track free of charge and help him out??? or are you a person who just laughs at some one when they fall in the mud instead of holding your hand out to him up???? get facts together instead of rumors also
Sounds like you have not been to hesston lately ,,I have seen so of the best racing in the area this year at hesston,, I watched the 17 car come from last to win the super late event, when was the late time you seen this at any track??? tells me this was a great race track ware a fast car can get to the front, I have watch passing all over the track,, most places they do not even try to better the track !!!! just let it one lane racing follow the leader,,I seen a car roll over at winchster because it was so rough, thnder valley and bedford are all follow the leader tracks,, hesston does more to the track then any other place I have been too, I do not know ware you have been but, I for one have enjoyed every trip to the track,, each time I go their is a something new, I have never seen a parking lot that has had white lines painted and has 50 handicap spots painted in blue in front of the main gate, the last race there was 40 cars in each class,, I also know this man has serious health concerns and is still making improvements, I do not think this is a money issue at all, it is my understanding this man did 2 months of radition and 5 months of chemo treats during the 2012 race season, plus continued to make inprovements for each event,,
