In fairness to the lazy worthless people among us race tracks should accept food stamps in the concession stands !!! I mean its not fair that these high class citizens are deprived of their " right " to gourmet cheeseburgers just because they are lazy , refuse to work and don't have any money !!

One cheesburger-fries and drink and they'd be all gone. Besides half the people sell their stamps for cash anyways.maybe they could get a voucher to attend for free like they do their rent. Maybe obama will do something after hes done taking our guns- or at least trying. I say come try.

Thats why he is the legend. I do believe if food stamps were allowed at the track, people would be doing bad bad things behind the concessionstands just for a cheap bucket of extra crispy wings.

I doubt anything worse than they are already doing ... Rumor has it that stuff happens in the parking lot that would make Jerry springer blush !!

Might work for the weekly races. They'd probably sell the food stamps to get pit passes to WoO/Lucas shows though.

A congress with a reputation lower than cockroaches gave NASCAR a tax break.

To really pack the place they should allow pit passes to be bought with food stamps , because a it's unfair to make a guy on food stamps spend money on pit passes that could go toward his race car !!

How dare you expect the welfare community to use there food stamps to get access to the races , they should get in for free !! Hell give them a hotdog and a coke to !

NASCAR, tax break, I am a NASCAR fan, HOWEVER, I don't understand why they are getting a tax break? I read that it was a tax break so they could build more tracks??? So they will probably build more cookie cutter tracks, that will be sure to attract the fans!!! What they need to do is go back to some traditional tracks, such as North Wilkesboro.

A lesson in irony. The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is actually proud of the fact it is distributing the greatest amount of free meals and food stamps ever. Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us to "Please Do Not Feed the Animals." Their stated reason for the policy is because the animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves. This ends today's lesson.

NASCAR itself did not get a tax break.

International Speedway Corporation owns a total of I believe 13 tracks...ISC was formed by Bill France, and later merged with Penske...SO maybe in theory NASCAR really doesn't get the money...but NASCAR's tracks ((NASCAR still owns a piece here)) benefits...so ultimately it does benefit NASCAR...

I read the article, race tracks do get a track break so if NASCAR owns 13 or so race tracks then isin't NASCAR getting a tax break? ISC owns Daytona, Darlington, Talladega, The Glen plus others...ISC was formed by Bill France, it is now merged with Penske, however there is still a strong NASCAR/France connection therefore the tax break will still benefit NASCAR/ISC which owns the tracks.
