Great news. It's long overdue-that's for sure. Many thanks to Walt for staying with it. The omissions to the HoF are starting to be corrected. One year at a time we saw Lee Osborne-Bobby Adamson and now Lou Blaney-get admitted to the HoF. I see Jeff Bloom was also inducted.Good! Two guys from down by the Ohio river come to mind and that's J.D.Leas and Wayne McGuire.I hope they have a voice like Walt Wimer pulling for them. I'm very happy for Jean Lynch. One best people I ever met.I just might go to Knoxville this year!!

Those of us who started going to the races in the late fifties know why Lou Blaney is going in the sprint car hall of fame. We were fortunate to see Lou run sprint cars in the sixties, seventies and some early eighties. Then the modified career began. And just where do we begin talking about the involvement of Jean Lynch in racing. The good news is our memories will be getting that much needed tune up this year. We are so proud and happy for the families.

I went to Jennerstown in the late 50's early 60's and remember a bounty on Blaney during a ten race feature win streak.

THANK YOU WALT FOR YOUR PERSISTENCE!!!!! they finally get it right!!!! Lou's Last race in the Sprint at Sharon was Friday June 20th as Dave started the next week...I think his last Sprint win was at Tri city May 24 1981... Lou should have been in YEARS AGO.. I caught the twilight of his Sprint career but when you factor in 3 titles in 1973 (Lernerville, Jennerstown, and Tri city) OVER 200 Sprint wins, winning the Grove Natl open, finishing in the top 5 at Knoxville and having an average win total of above 20% of his races run Id say he is MORE THAN WORTHY!!!! Such an honor to photograph every Sharon Modified win since 1984..never heard a boo from the stands EVER!!!! here is to you Lou..you deserve it... Jim

Congratulations to both. Everyone that knows any history of sprint racing in western PA knows how deserving this is for Lou. Not many people are aware of Jean Lynch's involvement in the sport. I have had many opportunities to talk with her and am always amazed at the new things I learn about her each time I talk to her. Her involvement with the Allstar Circuit if Champions, to Florida speedweeks, New York DirtWeek, helping numerous tracks get on their feet, scoring at the Indy 500 just to name a few of her accomplishments. All I can say it's about time for both.
