As paying customers, I suppose we have too much nerve to raise hell about bad track surfaces, piss poor concession food, rotten programs and run down facilities. I guess if I were a Lemming like you, I would never bitch about anything, either. Keep swallowing the garbage that some of the local tracks feed you all the while telling yourself that the quality of racing in this area is overall as good as it used to be and continue to be part of the problem.
I get that owning and running a race track is an extremely difficult job. But, they are not staying in it if they are losing money or not profiting at an acceptable rate. Most of these people were or are business people before they jumped in. They knew ahead of time what they were getting themselves into. I'm tired of reading about the poor, poor promoters. And don't give me the "they are racing fans, too" bullshit. I'm sure they are. Being a racing fan and making money are not mutually exclusive.

We ran several pro cup races at Mansfield. It's nicer than Lake Erie and had a good couple of grooves. The guy who owned Bullet put everything he had into but made that was just a little too much. If I had a half million into it after buying for pennies on the dollar I bet it will fly.
