SMOKEY HAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!!!
oh the mighty track is falling faster than I originally thought!!!!!!
hahaha smokey, thats a good one!!
I don't get that one either. It seems as if a favor is being granted.
To include him With Dick, Craig and Jimmy is idiotic, in my opinion.

Ditto on what Mike is saying here!!!! There are non-driving members of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame. Car owners, crew chiefs, promotors, officials and media members. They are all needed to put on the shows everyone wants to watch. And some spend a long career in doing those various activities and are very deserving of being elected to a Hall of Fame. Remember Jean Lynch was just elected to the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame. Jean never drove a race car in her life unless it was a Poder Puff race way back in her younger days. But she has been a tireless worker for the sport and especially Sprint Car racing. Smokey is in the same boat and I think well deserving of the award!!!
GOOD RACING TO ALL!!!!
Walt
Congrats to smokey!

In my opinion there is a lady that is very deserving to be added to Lernerville's HOF.
She has devoted many years of her life promoting and supporting all forms of racing in this area. You could always find her sitting on her guardrail at the pit gate at Lernerville with a smile on her face, a kind greeting, and many great stories, or find her in the scorers booth, or talk to her at Lernerville's office where she always took the time to take care of whatever you needed.
She is a friend to many in the racing community across the Country.
Her name is Linda Fennell.
Linda certainly deserves it more than Schempp does, for sure.

I believe Smokey Schempp has worked at Lernerville for very close to 30 years if not a few more. nobody had worked longer than Smokey at Lernerville. Before his years as an official he was a driver. He is a hard working guy who certainly deserves this honor. Smokey was very close with Don Martin and Don very much appreciated and admired what Smokey did for him and Lernerville Speedway. Lernerville used to brag about how fast they could run off a 6 division program. Well Smokey was the guy Lining up the restarts and he did it faster than anyone else. Congratulations Smokey on a well deserved award.
One know-it-all gasbag supporting another. Go figure.

There are several driver inductions that I wonder about. I'm sure some would be read it as disrespectful if I mentioned names, so just look at the list and compare it to what you find under Lernerville.com's history tab.I don't get that one either. It seems as if a favor is being granted.
To include him With Dick, Craig and Jimmy is idiotic, in my opinion.

I agree with your statement, and I could also add to the list Ouch Roenigk.
