If your business is based on people spending their tax returns you may want to look into another type of business.45 Sprint Cup cars trying to make a 43 car field??? Some of which can be attributed to the Gen6 car! Last Night at Volusia County speedway.....47 Super lates??? 36 Superlates at Bubba Sunday night for $20,000.00 to win??? Where is this headed?? In 1999 there was 120 BigRig teams at Volusia trying to make the show! In 2002 that was down to around 90-100. In 2011 it was 60. This year 47! Don't follow Cup that close...but there was allways 10-15 that didn't make the race! The Economy is in the tank! There is no money out there! Currently our business is suffering locally because of the Income tax returns! Any business this time of year is heavily funded by Income tax returns! Well...you couldn't file till Jan 31st...Then you can't get a paper refund check till March 1st....if then... if the Government doesn't go down! So I guess we just all waite???? I hope everyone that re-elected the current people in Washington because they didn't want to loose thier benefits is happy! You have to pay the piper sooner or later! But I predict a very rough year for Racing! No Money out there!

Anything in the Automotive business is hugley affected by incometax returns this time of year! Because the other monthly money goes form the Christmas bills that are now due!

I don't think working together would55 super lates and 38 big blocks at Volusia last night.
It doesn't help car counts when BRP and East Bay are running super lates head to head last week.
If they would bite the bullet and swallow their pride and work together I think both tracks. drivers, and fans would be better off.
Help, fans owners and drivers can only take soo much time off , if nothing over lapped they would be in flordia / Georgia for a solid month !! Who has an entire month to
Be gone ?

If your clients discretionary spending for the year equates to just their income tax return you might want to aim for a little higher class of clientAnything in the Automotive business is hugley affected by incometax returns this time of year! Tax returns have a huge influence on business and the economy-people generally purchase larger ticket items from washers and dryers-cars- smaller scale home renovations such as painting-carpet....sales always go up. Retail the effect is much larger. If your business is based on people spending their tax returns you may want to look into another type of business.

38 big blocks at Volusia last night.

Your exactly correct.Tax returns have a huge influence on business and the economy-people generally purchase larger ticket items from washers and dryers-cars- smaller scale home renovations such as painting-carpet....sales always go up. Retail the effect is much larger.
Unless you owe money there is allot of people that look forward to tax returns.

First of all those car counts sound like a pretty decent show to me.
Now think about 2 tracks running the same division head to head this way. If there are 100 cars and they are all at 1 track, with a feature starting 24 cars, 76 are going on the trailer. Now it there are 2 tracks running and the field is split, there are 2 features with 24 cars each, only 52 going home. To me this sounds better for the racers.

One quote can sum up the next 4 years : " We dont have a Spending Problem .. We have a Revinue problem "
Nascar is No Guage of Grass roots ! They are lock step with the above statement getting their Stimulous and selling the Idea to BURN FOOD and Dont drill for oil !
If they had any Integrity to their Fans instead of their Corporate sponsors .. They would be out there saying .. Burning food is stupid !
it costs more
Its harder on Motors
Its highly UNEFFICIENT !
!were sticking with oil!
But that aint gonna happen

You would have to look at the antics of some of NASCARS 'prima donna's' over the past few years for a drop in sponsorship dollars too. No one wants their businesses associated with idiots bringing down the name of the sport.NASCAR has seen low car counts in past years.
Some of the biggest supporters of NASCAR in the past aren't allowed to sponsor teams anymore so who's fault is that? I believe it has an impact on the sport by limiting what sponsor is allowed on the car.

Spot on here. The more racers that get paid, the more racers that can afford to back up next week.First of all those car counts sound like a pretty decent show to me.
