Are you a TECH OFFICIAL now? DO you make the body rules? Can you buy a stock production body these days? This is not the only car that looks like a late model out there. Do you have a crystal ball to help you predict what a track will let somebody run?

Im not hating. Ha it is a flat out GORGEOUS car. But truthfully, i remember people complaing that the street stocks were starting to look like late models about 5 years ago. Now, they look EXACTLY like late models. I just have trouble imagining why you would build a body like that knowing that no other track would accept it under their rules. Do you have absolutely NO plan to go anywhere else and show people that you can compete?!
I give props to the Lernerville guys. I believe the Lernerville cars are the most strict when it comes to rules. If you can take a legal lernerville car to tracks like Mercer, Pittsburgh, Marion Center, Dog Hollow, Thunder Mountain, Sharon, and Hummingbird and still post good finishes, that you are on the right track to succeed.

"I just have trouble imagining why you would build a body like that knowing that no other track would accept it under their rules. Do you have absolutely NO plan to go anywhere else and show people that you can compete" Just off hand i would bet its legal at hummingbird, marion center, dog hollow, arp, stateline, eriez. how many tracks would it be illegal at? It's easier to use the lm nose because the older monte nose is not wide enough for the bigger tires.
why do you care, it is their car they can build a body and race where ever they want.
car looks good!

I agree 100%The days of the stock bodied cars are coming to an end. Its laughable anyone even calls this division Stocks anymore. Detroit quit making rear wheel drive cars eons ago. Even Pure Stocks are allowed aluminum body panels now. As long as it fits Mercer's body specs, who cares? Body doesn't make the car go faster, all the cars still have the same weight limit rules regardless of body. Shame they all don't take this much pride in their body work. 17m is a great looking car!

I think what the majority of the negative posts are in response to are rules packages that allow the LM style bodies and noses. No one is suggesting that the Moore crew is wrong for building this MRP legal stock. Fact is that yes, rear wheel drive cars that the division is based on are long gone. Yet, Lernerville's rules package (along with other area tracks) stress a more "stock" appearing car that anyone with the ability and a brake can turn aluminum sheet into a legal body that the casual fan can tell is different from any LM. We all get that the bodies are all but impossible to find in scrapyards nowadays.
Lernerville's Stock counts averaged between 25 and 30 cars per regular Friday night last season. The two nights I attended MRP, they had about 15 cars, which is fine for the size of the track. But it begs the question, are their liberal (in comparison to Lernerville) rules chasing cars elsewhere?
And please, no stroker motors for Lernerville's Stocks. It's a solid rules package that is obviously working based on the upswing in car counts.

Where do you win rusty nuts? Sounds like you don't like Moore. Sniff sniff. Cars have looked like late models for several years now. I personally like the stock Monte look but it is what it is. Can't fight evolution. Also lernerville doesn't compete against a track on same night 25 minutes away.. If Sharon didn't run same night both tracks would have more stocks. That car is legal at more tracks then it is illegal so most of you don't know what you are talking about. (rusty nuts) and lernerville cars do not look like stock cars either so idk why you are all bitching. Ifthose are stock type cars please tell me what they look like that is on the roadHe is definately wicked fast at that joint. Maybe everyone could be if they never went anywhere else.
