Now that the injured fans will be seeking damages, how long before the front row will be 100 feet or more from the track? Or fences and retaining walls will be so high they will only be able to see the opposite side of the track from where they will sit. Just a matter of time.

Haha, you are kidding - right? I am sure there is a waiver on the ticket stub but that still doesnt mean anything. There will be several lawsuits but Nascar will do everything it can to keep them as private/quiet as possible.

When you buy a ticket you release all rights to sue the track, or atleast that's how I understood it when I got my NASCAR license.

Yup you can always sue lol. Doesn't mean they will win. Chances are very good it will never make it to court. NASCAR will robably settle out of court to make this all go away ASAP. When those fans where killed at the IRL show years back their families sued but settled out of court with the IRL prior to court. For some very large sums of cash...

The fans that go understand the risks ahead of time. These fans were part of a very unfortunate accident and now they are trying to capitalize off it. We as fans/drivers know that anything can happen at the racetrack. I feel horrible for the fans that got hurt but they knew the risks ahead of time.... Not like this has never happened...

Yup I'm a dick!!!

There have been more than a few cases where drivers signed the "pit release" and successfully won civil suits against tracks and sanctioning bodies.
Remember Doug Wolfgang vs WoO, track, EMS, and parts manufactures.
And there was a case in the Midwest not long ago where a late model got in the grandstands and killed and hurt people and they won the civil case.
