Just looking at the new rules that are posted now and I noticed in the engine section the part about no variable cam timing engines. Just wondering if you understand that rule and what kind of motors and what all motors that fall under this. Not that it affects me but I belive it may affect others.

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't that mean no vtec? You guys get eight cars, and now you're running 2/3 of them off????? I will also say that SURPRISE rule changes in MARCH which require a new engine/car/major fabrication are bullshit and can completely wreck a guys budget for a year, if he can still race at all. I am sorry, but it seems that those who decide on some of these rules probably don't know a whole lot about what they're looking at.

Yea thats what it means. Along with the Z tech fords, Mazda version, newer gm and other newer types. Thats why I ask if they knew what the rule ment. On the other hand a lot of tracks use this rule.

Yea Mike I forgot to remove that part of the rules. Basically the rules are the same as last year. I just wanted to remove some gray areas from the rules. All v-techs are welcome. I'll get that corrected soon. Sorry for the confusion.

Over the winter we researched rules from other tracks and organizations that run compacts in order to allow more cars to be eligible to race at WRP. We also wanted to clean the rules up to clear up some gray areas. Unlike some may think, our goal is to attract cars. We are not in a position to be able to "run cars off". We appreciate every car that runs at WRP. We try to work with everyone that shows up to race. When we do find an infraction we try to find a way for that car to still race and give that driver a timeframe to correct the issue.

The rule will be corrected on our site soon but it will read: "E.) Turbo charged and/or super charged and/or rotary engines not permitted."

Sorry for the confusion Mike and thank you very much for pointing that out. We are very pleased to work with all of our racers.

Thanks

Yes Dan, You will never make everyone happy so don't try to !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still agree 100% on removing the stock cars from the schedule and everyone knows I own cars in that class. People who have there own company or work for them selves should know in business you can't loose money every week and keep the LIGHTS ON. For some dumb reason stock car people just dont run there Y no body will say!!! I think Lima cars held up there fair share of cars 16,7,7,82,48,26,27,327,99 and sometimes 71 I know alot of cars from Eldora are from around that area or south of the track and just wont haul that far for little pay outs and basically no points money at the end of the year. I remember the first year at the track back gate was 20.00 the track went around and asked if the added a dollar on the rear gate for points would it make people mad everyone say no they would pay the extra dollar. Next year it went to 25.00 and no points money. That might be some reason peole stopped coming!!! JMO
