Drivers, Matt asked me to gather feedback on allowing 6" spoilers this year for drivers on 10" tires. This would be the same rule as Lernerville, Sharon and Mercer at quick glance. I also heard Thunder Mtn, Hummingbird, Marion Center and Dog Hollow allow them. Since we are sitll a month from the season starting we don't think this will hurt drivers. Thoughts? I also want to allow them for the EL 17 race, so if that's the case, why not make them legal all year. Thanks. Vince Laboon

I like the idea.... It brings the body rules for all the area tracks in line. Now Lernerville and Roaring Knob needs to re-evaluate thier motor rule and allow strokers and then the division , as a whole, is 75% of the way to uniformity in the SW PA. area... and I personally think it makes the cars look better Just my 2 cents...

kocuba may be the only competitive car at ppms that runs an 8 in. tire. and that spoiler does alot more at ppms than the other tracks you mentioned.

i think amp also has a rule where the rear has to be closed off...personally like that better then all these stocks that look like late models in the back...

Anytime we can get all the local tracks closer to being on the same page with the rules for this class the better.. The more options the racers have will grow the car count, for these special events, I'm all for it.

Union Yes! I've been talking to drivers from many local tracks to work out the best rules package for the EL17 in order to be accomodating to new cars but fair to existing PPMS guys. So it made sense for me to ask PPMS guys what they think of the spoilers, because Matt wants to be consistent all season if possible. So if trying to get news cars to PPMS and get somewhat close to uniformed, competitive rules between 3-5 tracks for a $1700 to win race I'm promoting in my Dad's memory makes me Matt's b!tch, then yes, yes I am.
