FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Northeast Tour Set to Kickoff at Mercer Raceway Park March 30th The FASTRAK Racing Series is busy reading for its first Sweeney Cars Northeast Regional Touring event set for March 30th at Mercer Raceway Park. The "Chiller Thriller" will pay $2000 to win for the FASTRAK Pro Late Models. "I can't wait to be with Bill and Frank at Mercer" said Stan Lester Founder of the Series." They are great people and I really look forward to seeing them. It will also be good to see all of our NE Teams. We have developed some fantastic relationships there over the years and its going to be good to see everyone again. I know our teams look forward to getting underway as the phones have not stopped ringing" "We are also continuing to grow FASTRAK in that Region. Tracks keep signing up and we continue to book additional touring events. Honestly our schedule is about full for 2013. I don't want to run so many events that we actually start competing with our own weekly tracks. I know to some series that doesn't matter, but we have to look after everyone involved, not just the NE Tour. Limiting the touring events helps the race teams stay healthy too. They don't have to drive all over the Northeast United States to compete with us. Hey the point money pays the same so less traveling plus less races equates to more profit for our teams and again, it keeps our weekly tracks healthy also". "We were almost shocked at how many people welcomed FASTRAK back after they heard about the split with previous management. I truly didn't know how much the previous management had upset people. Enough so that they left FASTRAK altogether, but we are truly honored they are back with us again. All of our regions have grown in 2013 and I think that speaks well of our intent and purpose for motorsports in general. I realize it has to work for everyone, not just the tour of FASTRAK NE". "I know a lot of people doubted us when the spilt occurred with previous management" stated Lester. "Brian Haynes and I personally went up and held meetings with first the tracks on a Weds night, then the teams on Thursday night. My first question both nights was this, I came here to help racing. If you (the teams or tracks) think it's going to hurt you if FASTRAK stays here, then I'll pack my toys and go home. That I didn't want to do anything that would hurt the teams or the weekly tracks. That's not what FASTRAK is about and it's not how we do business. We actually took a vote both nights and it was unanimous both the tracks and teams wanted FASTRAK to stay. So as long as they want FASTRAK NE here, we will be here regardless of what else happens". "I think the fans, teams and tracks will see things are going to be run differently. Fireworks, Ms FASTRAK, rides for the kids during the 4 wide salute to the fans are just some of the new things they will experience at every FASTRAK NE Touring event. Yes we will make some mistakes, but if you don't make any mistakes, that must mean you aren't doing anything. I personally welcome the fans input on all the things we do. Without the fans, there is no FASTRAK and I understand that well." Where: Mercer Raceway Park, Mercer PA When: March 30th What: $2000 to win FASTRAK NE Tour event - $3000 to win ULMS Late Models - $1000 to win United E Mod Series - $1000 to win Open Stocks Go to www.mercerracewaypark.com for more info.

Hate to be a pessimist but this Chiller Thriller is not going to happen unless we get about 6 days in a row of sunny 80 degree weather here in w. pa...

"pretty committed" = dropping them from the weekly card two years ago?

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.

I think it was more like a "trade" with Sharon for the 410 Sprint Cars...

Nothing but 3 inches of snow here outside Mercer(Monday) and still coming down...better warm fast for Saturday.....
