I was looking to buy my brother one of the losi rc 1/8 dirt late models for Easter. He runs at big dogs in sandy lake. Does anyone know if they have a 1/8 late model class there or do I have to convert 1/10 to a late model? I tried calling but no one answered. I'd appreciate any feedback.

Here's their forum on hobby talk. Try asking on there, they can let you know what classes they are currently running.

They run 1/10th scale only. Most are losi xxx, or traxxas slashes. A friend of mine has a losi for sale with a brushless system that wins quite often in the late model and modified truck classes at big dogs. He also has a losi 1/10th scale losi slider sprint for sale.

There is a new 1/10th scale late model class forming using stadium trucks if you don't have a short course truck. Not sure how much you know about the difference in the two trucks chassis. The Stadium Truck has a shorter wheelbase.

Of all the tracks around here that run oval, none that I know of run the Nitro 8ight. Those that do run a late model class are 2WD Short Course chassis with a late model body, or the Losi 1/18 Mini Late.
