The below post from Tim Nickles thanking people. BUT look at the number of tracks and companys supporting this event. But no UNOH OR LIMALAND. If Brad Doty can come all the way from Wooster and a track that has the Doty, cant even come across town with a booth.
To All My Family, Friends, Sponsors and Racers
I can’t begin to express my thanks to all of you who contributed to the 2nd Annual Tim’s Motorsports Expo this past weekend. What a weekend it was! We had an amazing car count….118 vehicles in all! Wow! I appreciate all of you who brought your cars out to display and the race fans who came to see them! Thanks to all the local businesses who helped sponsor the event and contributed door prizes. A special thanks to Hume Supply, Red Lobster, Texas Road House, Western Sizzlin, Performance Powder Coating, Ron Spencer Real Estate, Howard Johnsons Hotel, Radio Hospital, Rick’s Auto Sales, Marshall Campbell, Ray Marshall and Buffalo Wild Wings for their support. I also want to say thank you to special guests Brad Doty and Rick Ferkel who participated in the Round Table Race Talk. Thank you also to Shirley Kears, Larry Boos, Tim Allison and Jerry Niemeyer for participating. Some great race memories were shared. I also want to say thanks to Misha Geisert of Tony Steward Racing for donating the TSR items and coming to the expo again this year! It meant a lot to have you there! We had awesome entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights provided by Polly Mae and The Buck Wild Band! Thanks to Waynesfield Raceway Park, Eldora Speedway, Cridersville Speedway, Kil Kare Speedway, Fremont Speedway and Attica Raceway Park for supporting this event. Thank you to Steve Meyers, winner of the Promoter’s Choice Award, for his help with the auction. I also want to thank the Tim’s Landscaping Crew for all of their hard work with setting up and tearing down plus all you did during the show. Thanks to all of you who helped in the concession stand, at the T-shirt stand, front door, tricycle races, 50/50 and raffle sales! Last but not least, I want to thank Gerry “The Voice” Keysor for being the official Expo Announcer and contributing his voice to the radio and television commercials! If I missed anyone it was not intentional. I appreciate each and everyone of you who helped out! If you would like to see another Tim’s Motorsports Expo next year, “Like” this post. Please share this with all your friends! Thanks again to everyone! Tim Nickles

This should show all race fans and teams what we all mean to that place with the even shorter race season and lack of support to the local racing community, but it won't. The so called New Limaland has had it's Hey Day. The current owner has his sights on bigger things these days. Rebuilding that track into what it is today with his 10 year plan and his clout with the college has propelled him into where he wanted to be in the first place, the stock car elite. I have nothing against Nascar, however when you see someone doing just the opposite of some of the drivers that have been fortunate enough to excel to that level of racing giving back to their roots compared to this guy-it's pretty Damn obvious what his real plan was? Racechasser i can agree with you on every thing you say. Their 10 year plan had every one excited about what was gonna happen at Limaland. But to shorten the season because they are losing money because of the fair and football games is sad. I know them going to Fla was for the kids and the school. But the amount of money they spent at Fla would proably pay the purse at Lima for a couple of years. It just seems like all the nascar hype seems more important to them now than what is going on at Lima. When you take 3 business owners who are smaller than UNOH have put together the Motor Sports Expo, Bob Reynolds Memorial Race, and The Dick Spencer Memorial race, and two of these events should proably be at Lima because one person worked at Lima and the other raced at Lima. Then for Lima to not even jump in with a booth at the Expo when several of the cars that were there run at Lima what a shame. These 3 gentlemen who put fourth the effort for these 3 events should hold their heads up hi for what they are doing and look down on Lima for not stepping up in their own back yard.

Yes it is a shame indeed! I agree with all of your views as well
blackflagmanwhaa! You bring up a very good point of events such as Tim Nickles - Motor Sports Expo, Ron Hammons - Bob Reynolds Memorial Race, and The Dick Spencer Memorial race. These are people involved in our sport with a very special love for it that I share as well. They show their extreme support by putting on these shows for the fans and/or the families of the honored with alot less money than the current owner of Limaland! These racers, car owners, and fans do what they do to Honor and Remember those that shared their Passion and love for the sport we all cherish!
The racing community is a close knit group, and it will only be a matter of time for most to see those that are in it for their own benefit! Some of us more seasoned ones already see it and have for awhile now

Well with limaland's shorter season, adding those memorial races to limaland would mean there'd be some type of memorial or special race for almost every week lol. With the Steve Brown Memorial, Keysor Memorial, Fricke Thunderstock Select, Brad Doty Classic, and the Run for the Rabbit.
