ROSSBURG, OH (April 10) – Eldora Speedway officials have announced an update to the participating divisions in the April 27 Saturday Night Speedfest on the historic .500-clay oval. Joining the UMP DIRTcar Modifieds and Eldora Stock Cars will be the Waynesfield Raceway Park Truck class that had a successful run during last fall’s Blue Collar Bash. The trucks will replace the previously announced Front Wheel Drive (FWD) Compact division.

Hope the Waynesfield drivers show up in full force . Would be a shame to have the chance to return to a track like Eldora and NOT take advantage of it . The chance to build the following of the truck division and display the talents of the drivers in the truck division means a lot to the drivers as well as the weekly shows at Waynesfield . And might open doors for some to move to an owner in a higher class . If I had not sold my truck last week I would be there. Hopefully the other drivers in the Waynesfield Trucks will take advantage of this chance and put on the show I know they are capable of putting on .

Really and truly if we , and I say we though I am not racing this year due to personal issues , want the Tuff Trucks to grow in numbers we need to expose our trucks and abilities to as many people as possible . Drivers sometimes complain about the number of truck or lack of trucks at some shows . Yet we have been our own worse enemies at times by NOT going to other tracks and racing . The folks at Eldora have extended an invitation to us to race at one of the most historic dirt tracks in not only this country but in the world and if we do not show up in full force and put on a good show we may not be extended another invitation . Hopefully the Waynesfield drivers will take advantage of this and help not only the truck class grow but help Waynesfield grow . Putting on a good show at Eldora will only help show what we do every other weekend at our home track in Waynesfield .

The only issue I see with our invitation to Eldora is the short notice they gave us. I know a few people have talked to me about not being ready by the 27th. If you want a class to show up in full force then you have to give them more than a 2 week notice. I will be there for sure but thats cuz I am so low budget we didnt tear anything apart this winter lol, of course we didnt really run last year either except for at eldora. I hope for a great showing of trucks at eldora but with only having a couple weeks notice i wouldnt expect to much

I agree KO, but if the Tuff Trucks are an entry level class as Waynesfield Raceway continues to insist it is then everyone should be more low budget than they are . Low budget racing is not building a $4,000 dollar engine to go out and win $200 on a Saturday night , and I know of some drivers that have done that . I blow an engine by my stupidity , I go to a salvage yard and buy a $300 replacement . I will no doubt miss a few weeks cleaning it up and replacing head gasket and minor things . The last race ran last year that involved the trucks from Waynesfield was the Bash in October . That's 6 months ago . If your not able to get an Entry Level dirt race car/truck ready to run 20 laps at most in those 6 months then your not trying to race in an Entry Level class . I have yet to figure out why someone would want to continue to spend more money and work endless hours on a HOBBY . My thought is if the trucks do not show up in full force we may not be invited back . And that would be a shame as the trucks do put on a good show . Yes there are a few that bend the rules and are able to BUY more than others . I have raced ( in Tennessee ) at 3 different tracks a week in the same car . Friday night at Thunderhill Speedway , Sat night at Tennessee Motor Speedway and Sunday afternoon at Atomic Speedway . If you truly are in an entry level class you can go anywhere and be ready to race at a moments notice .

I agree and thats why we will be there lol i dont think this will be it for us at eldora if we dont get the numbers. I believe with the showing we had last year at the bash that they will invite us again even if our numbers are down in 2 weeks. I cant wait to be back had some issues last october that did not allow me to finish the race and i want a chance to race im ready lets go lol

I'll be there to support the racing . I hope the trucks show up and do put on a good show . I fully intend to show up at WRP and support though I will not be racing this year . Good luck and good racing
