He probably didn't do a damned thing wrong. NASCRAP has a nasty habit of getting a bug up its ass about things when people don't kiss its ass enthusiastically enough, and they also have a nasty habit of being nitpicking bastards about technicalities. That's all this is about. IMNVHO the stock car racing world would be a lot better off if Brian France, Mike Helton, John Darby and Robin Pemberton were all hung and France's sister was installed as Chairwoman and CEO of NASCAR. If they did that it might not be NASCRAP anymore.

They must of done something wrong. NASCAR doesn't just suspend seven people from the racetrack for six weeks. NASCAR confiscated the rear end housings out of both Penske race cars.

Tommy, the only damn thing they did wrong was to use a new part without getting it approved first, and that's bullshit. If the rulebook doesn't specifically rule something illegal, it should be assumed to be legal, not the other way around like NASCRAP does it. NASCRAP plays favorites worse than anybody in racing. I guaran-damn-tee you if NASCRAP wasn't pissed off at Penske because his young punk drivers were making too much trouble for them, they would have said nothing about the unapproved parts. Instead they fine and suspend the shit out of a bunch of people and screw the drivers and owner out of 25 points merely because they weren't kissing NASCRAP's ass enthusiastically enough. The high kahunas in NASCRAP are about as ethical as Democrat politicians, and the one with the most ethics and best management skills will never get the top job due to lacking testicles and a penis. Both Bill Frances must be rolling over in their graves at the crap that is going on under Brian. The Bills knew how to ride herd on people without flushing their integrity down the shitter. Brian knows no such thing.

bigjohn, you're probably right. If it had been anybody they're not pissed off at who had used the unapproved part, the most NASCRAP would have said would have been, "Don't bring that back to another race without getting it approved first." That's what they ought to have done this time.

How does everyone magically know all of the circumstances surrounding this event ? I have no clue either way but just because the guy grew up around here doesn't mean the punishment was unjust . Like I said it may have been unjust but without specific details we have no clue

my question is why didn't mwr get as harsh a penalty when they had most of the same violations that penske had is nascar that hell bent on slowing down ford racing or is it just me??

I think its just you! Nascar is not trying to slow down the Fords! They want anybody with money to compete! Thats why they aloud Toyota! I spent my whole life listening to how you Ford guys are discriminated against! Bullshit!......... I don't beleive for one moment that Nascar would discriminate against anyone that wants to race and further thier agenda! They like big money! Maybe they don't like the Penske Groupe....But they like money! I don't see Rousch or Petty having any problems! I think it doesn't help when you have two young drivers (one ) that is mouthy...... speaking out against Nascar either! If you want to play the Nascar game....keep your mouth shut! Or they will get you one way or the other!

MWR and Penske had different infractions. Penske had unapproved parts and MWR car somehow was too low in post race inspection.

Exactly that's why I don't buy into these conspiracy theory's that NASCAR is out to get one particular team. With how closely they monitor everything Penske had to know the parts were not approved

MWR had a "shock failure" but racing wear and tear does not usually result in a penalty from NASCAR. Probably more to that story.

NASCAR set out to stop the skewing of rear ends through tricky suspension setups. Actually Penske was one of the most vocal complainers last year about wanting NASCAR to fix this issue. The setup they came to the track with would allow the car to get through the inspection alignment/measurement process but could be easily changed afterward.

Teams had been told at the beginning of the year that any new rear suspension parts needed to be approved beforehand. Apparently, Penske did not do this!

Think about this! Penske arrived with complete rear end assemblies, including suspension components, for both cars. Yes, NASCAR teams carry a ton of spares but it makes one wonder if they were sort of prepared in advance in case this happened.

The NASCAR inspection process is as open and equal and thorough as you are going to find in the racing world.

Like tommy said .. mwr car was just sitting low as can happen allot easier than what penske guys did .. They actually welded spacers under the shakles that hold the rearend housing so that the housing would roll back on one side and roll foward on the other side to get that " Scew" they talk about where the rear end of the car rides out in the air .. kinda sideways down the straight .. so nascar was really pissed ! dont change the chassis on that car ... a shock goin down isnt even close to redesigning the rearend brackets LOL
And no! Hendrick would have gotten it 10 times worse because they are repeat offenders ! remember they sidelined chad kanous a longwhile a few years back when he was messing with pushing the rear window out to make the air pass over the spoiler at daytona
the last tine chad got busted and won their apeal is when the messed with the Apost area .. BUT the car still passed inspection thru the templates .. thats why they won appeal
the penski cars .. Not even close !LOL
Hamond showed what they did on racehub
