Gregg qualified for the Lucas race at Hagerstown. Gregg started 18th in the feature by winning the B main. Gregg had a great run finishing 5th which also won him the Hard Charger Award. The race was won by Jimmy Owens. Way to go Gregg....

Gregg had come to the front and was about to take the lead from Francis in his heat, but jumped the cushion in turns 3 and 4 and hit the wall. he held on for 5th. Then came thru nice in feature. One of the only cars who could make the very top side somewhat work. He and Dan Stone who also had a nice run!!!

I see Gregg winning a Lucas or WoO race in the area this season. Probably one of the prelim nights of the Firecracker.

If I remember correctly Ron Davies had him helping out one night a few years ago when he won a regular Friday night show.

Don't know if he was "consulting" for Satterlee when he was running there weekly??

I think he probably does. Hasn't he been Gregg's guy for a couple years now? Gregg has won at Lernerville in that time. I think he was working for Eckert when he won a WoO race there in 06' or so.

He is one of the best setup/crew chiefs in the dirt late model community.

For Rocket Chassis, he's probably the best there is.

I pick lannigan as the best there is with rockets ... But as far as a traveling crew chief if your willing to spend a hundred k plus a year Robbie Allen is the best rocket guy out there

Lanigan is the best because he is basically like a rocket house car driver. next to josh, he gets more info than anyone else.

Lanigan is the best Rocket driver out there, sure, but we're talking crew chiefs. Robbie Allen's setup knowledge > Jason Jameson's setup knowledge.

Back to the topic - does anyone know what happened to Greg in the heat? Even after jumping the cushion, he was still 2nd, but faded badly those last 3 laps. He was the fastest car right up until that point. He either had a tire going down, suspension problem, or something. It's a shame, if he could have won that heat, he would have been an even bigger factor in the feature. Owens was in his own zip code, but Satterlee may have been equal with Pearson and better than everyone else.
