Those Two races at the end of the season are really a thorn in the side of the races and fans now,its now becoming a shorter and shorter season.
Limaland Motorsports Park
Due to persistent mid-week rain showers and saturated grounds, Limaland Motorsports Park has cancelled the races scheduled for Friday, April 26.
Limaland will now kick off the 2013 racing season with the Dr. Jarvis Modified Double Dare on Friday, May 3. Featured divisions will be the K & N UMP Modifieds, Bud Thunderstocks, and Tuff Trucks on the famed high-banked bullring. Gates will open at 5:00 p.m., hot laps at 6:30 p.m., and racing at 7:30 p.m.

Lima got over an inch of rain from Tuesday night into Wednesday. If lima were a track that ran on Saturday then they could possibly get the races in. But there just isnt enough time to get on the track and get it worked before Friday. Try going out in a truck right now on a muddy hill as step as lima and try and run that hill in. It wont happen.

I knew they would cancel early in the week. The college owns the track for one reason and that's to help with publicity to get more kids to attend. They could care less about the racers or the fans that help build the place. If anyone thinks otherwise they are not thinking clearly. Yes they may have got an inch of rain early in the week. Am I somehow supposed to believe that the same rain system missed both Attica and Gas City because they are both running. The people running the show are a joke and ruining a track that could be one of the best around. So like always, instead of going to a track 15 minutes from my house I will drive an hour to watch racing on a track that has far less funding but smarter people running it. I said it once and will say it again. I have been to over 35 40 tracks across the country. Few have the facilities that Lima does, but few have the idiots running it into the ground like Lima does.

People what you dont realize is that attica and fremont have both been able to get on there tracks BEFORE we got all the rain and they were able to open up their tracks and race on them. No race track out there just wants to cancel every week and not race. If more people would be understanding about the fact that the track is trying and they are not out to just ruin everyones weekend by not racing you would get more respect. Look at Eldora. I havnt seen anyone complaining about them canceling. If Lima would have opened their track and raced today the track would have been so rough it wouldnt have been funny. Everyone would have just broke parts from the rough track.

Have to agree with Sprinter75 drove by there and heard some one testing. As many of the improvements and buildings being built at UNOH plus the amount of money on the Fla trip ,then paying nascar drivers to come to lima and drive their cars in Fla they could afford to pave or throw some stone on the grass of the parking lots.
Their 10 year plan is now leaning towards Nascar and backing any thing they can with them.
Then why back the Allstars and only have one race at their own track.
Thank god for the Doty, and if they can support the Allstars why not throw some money towards the purse of the Doty and help up it.
And yes it is funny that tracks with less funding are running tonight sure makes this big buck facility look bad.
Bring back the guys that put the banking in it or Miracle, at least they pulled in the big names and used the same area and hardly every had this many of no racing nights.

The school did have there cars out there already. They had try outs for the mods and stock car teams, so im sure the track has been worked in at sometime this year.
It seems like they just do not want to put any effort into getting a race in. They cancle if its to cold, to windy, chance of a storm, grass is wet, or sun is to bright. Attica had six inches of snow the week of there opener on either tuesday or wednesday and still got the race in on saturday. why did they get to race, cause they stayed out and worked that track even if they had to stay all night. If the track is so damn bad limaland then maybe you should post pics to shut us all up!
Only 13 regular shows to go and one of those has no 360 sprints. There elwer fence sprint champion will only have five races to compete for a championship. After the all star show on June 28 they take 2 fridays off ( July 5 and 12 ). They could have ran those two weeks with the doty or are they just uncapable of running more than one show in a week. Every other track seems to be able to. They have more races at volusia speedweeks than they run at there own track. They have no fan appreciation night and have there banquet when other tracks are still running. So obviously they just do not give a damn about the local racers or the fans and thats a shame. The track has all the opportunity in the world to have big shows with a variety of classes and they do nothing. I went to Lawrenceburg for the first time last week since the remodel and it looks just as good or even better than the limaland facility and look at all the variety of shows and support they get.
