so what gives here? I remeber reading this race was in like end of july, then moved to like july 18th or something and now waynesfeild site has it not listed but IRS site has it listed sas 18th of august. I want to see LM's get around there. If their gonna run em i garuntee i will be there come hell or highwater and a divorce! The idea to have a good late model show there makes perfect sense if co-ordinated with a ALMS event, WoO speedweek late model events or whatever. Could run it un-sanctioned, santioned, or how ever. They put up 5K to win 300 to start and cars will show! Will just take some creative thinking and time looking at other sanction schedules to get it to go great. Maybe even a holiday weekend like memorial day weekend run it on monday. check this out......all the cars traveling right in the perfect area. fremont used to run this monday night and draw a heck of a house full of cars.
May 25 - Attica Raceway Park - Attica, OH - $2,000 to win
May 26 - Oakshade Raceway - Wauseon, OH - $2,000 to win
May 27 - Eldora Speedway - Rossburg, OH - $2,000 to win
wouldnt waynesfeild ALMS may 28th (monday) waynesfeild, oh =2000 to win or even 3K to win look nice in this slot? every car that follows the ALMS deal that weeknd is already in eldora sunday night (approx 1 hr away) straglers that run eldora (big names included) probably would show, and wayne county guys that used to go to fremont would most likley make the tow if their home tracks arent running that night. did i mention that IRS isnt scheduled that night. they are only scheduled the 26th at muskingum (zanesville, OH) that weekend.
here's a list of events from www.nationaldirtdigest.net for just the 27th sunday and 28th monday. notice no WoO events or lucas oil events so most likely several big name LM guys will be at eldora sunday getting some practice on the new clay for the upcoming Dream 100 on june 8-9.

forgot to mention.......2000 fans in stands @ $15.00/person = $30, 000. a $5,000/win show with $300/start ALMS show feature purse is $16,225.00. that leaves $13,775.00. Since could be a monday night show run trucks or stocks. and you have that 13,775.00 to cover b main purse for LM's, and the full purse for support division. This money does not include pit gate admission. Figure 4 people per car @ $25.00 to get in is $100.00. 35 late models and 20 stock cars is a total of 55 cars in pits. That gives you and additional $5500.00 to add to what ya have left over to cover ambulance, insurance and so forth. I absolutly think more then 35 late models would show. I think actual # of cars that would attend would be closer to 50-60. Alms also has different to win purse structures as well to fit in a better budget. You can have a 2K to win , 250 to start with a feature purse of 11,150 even. More money means more cars usually though and thats what draws the fans whcih also means more money. guess i just dont see how the track could lose unles it got promoted wrong. It all seems black and white to me.
For ALMS pay structure look for yourselfs. contacts are there and you dont have to be a UMp certified track to run the ALMS series cause attica and fremont arent full UMP tracks.
