Don't tell sunhoney !!! The track will be flooded when she sees the mods !!!!The 2013 Series opener for the PA Vintage Dirt Modifieds is at Americas Motorsports Park this coming Saturday (11th).
Although the opener will be without Series regular Paul Bacchus who has commitments elsewhere, names are startng to roll in. Last years stand out 'Kevin 'Marbles' Mohney will be there in the Kurpakus #4 and will receive some good competition from David George aboard the refurbished #55jr. Improver Scott Covert (#40) and the brothers Stivenson , Randy (#9) and Roger (#51), will all be there in their '30's Coupes.
Last years 'Best Presented Car' recipient Mark Weigle is a possible starter in his #68 '39 Chev, while Curtis Lias who impressed all at the AMP practice day is hoping to be there if he gets an engine together in time. Howard Duff aboard his beautiful #812 '37 Chev will be there depending on the weather and rounding out the field should be Al Byerly from Warren PA in his screaming 6 cylinder powered '39 coupe.
Although not quite ready, the completely restored Art Osmer #6 will be on display at the track with some other cars from around 4.30pm.
With several more cars currently in the works, the field should increase significantly next time we run AMP in late July.

Dingo are you coming to Mercer this year? I sure hope so , last year it was great to see the turnout you had and the Canadian racers show that there is interest in the vintage racers north of the border. You can see I am getting older , can't type.
