The weather shows only a shower for 9 am and then clearing for the rest of the day. I think most tracks can get their programs in if they have good drainage around the track. ;)

Mash the loud pedal.

At A.M.P. we have gotten very little rain as of 9:30 p.m.So far everything is a go.We have installed all new draining on our track. The track will not be the problem but the pit area could be if the forecast is correct.

I was hoping you guys would give it a try tomorrow night. If you cancel will it be on the website?

Mike when did you look at Accuweather? I just looked at the hourly and it said at noon there would be showers. I hope it dries up , they don't show any showers after that. Hopefuly they aren't wrong , as they are a lot of the time. I know a lot depends on how wet the grounds are. I remember the days of rump deep mud in the pits after a rainout , usually when the cars were unloaded and trying to get the car back on the truck. I hope for the best as Bill Altman and you guys on all the crews have had your hands full with all the rainouts. I know I sure appreciate the way things are running at Mercer now , It feels like a real race track again. Thanks to all at Mercer Raceway Park.

Good grief..... I hate the mentality of some of the people involved in some of these tracks these days. Seems like they are always looking for a way out instead of a way to make the show happen.

I see mid 50s at about race time and nothing lower than 50, with no real chance of rain until after 10......see no reason why the show can't be run. Hopefully the plug isn't pulled due to a forecast...

So now we are cancelling races due to other events that have absolutely nothing to do with racing? They set up a schedule, advertised the race, people make plans to be there and all the sudden it would be ok to cancel because there is stuff on tv? I'm sorry but that is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever read...

I think the Pirates game is in the afternoon. If so, it should be no interference to anybody going racing. The Penguins and the TV race might be a problem, though, especially if it gets cold or the radar looks bad.

If tracks don't make any money, they shut down. You can bit#h about reasons folks won't go, cold temps, penguins, NASCAR but they are realities that impact the bottom line. I have always thought that NASCAR running on Saturday nights was a slap in the face to every Sat nite short track out there and in a way eating your seed corn. Plan on watching the Pens......

If the tracks didnt cancel so early beacause its supp to rain, fans , drivers would be more inclined to head out and see if they could get the show in. What happ to heading to the track to race even with the threat of rain and if it did rain everybody would get out there and help run the track in. Support your sport go to the track even if it looks like rain, the Pirates play 100 games, the Pens play 85 or so games so u have lots to choose from and if you miss it there is always a few replays to watch the millionaire whiners complain they lost or didnt perform well because they got no rest from doing their job the day or two days before
