I like Twitter for racing info. You just got to follow the right folks.

I think twitter has been great for dirt racing in general. Remember the days pre-internet when the only way to find out who won where was to buy one of the weekly racing rags.? Then tracks put up their sites in the 90's and we found out two days or longer after the fact. If you want to find out winners from a lot of tracks and series, it can take quite a while to visit every site, and some tracks barely update their sites 2/3 days later. Now, via twitter, if you compile a list of all your favorite drivers/tracks/series on any given racing night you can get updated on all the winners, stories and etc in an hour or two, strolling one after another across your timeline. I'd rather be at the track on race night, but it's not always possible with work, family and such. So if you miss something, it's all right there. And it saves you from clicking on 200 websites looking for info. Message boards are dying left and right, and unless you've belonged to one for years and have friends that you've talked with for years there are less and less reasons to visit them.

do you guys miss my good ole days? well, i see us all as family anymore. we complain,and some love it, but it hurts the sport. there is no reason to anymore. we all come here for the same reason, the love of racing. facebook, and cell phones, my goodness they are terrible. girls only take pictures of themselves from every view, everyday, and cell phones are only good for the gold inside........i agree with skull....... i still like to come here, but ignore the idiots anymore. no sense argeing over who or what is the greatest, as it leads to nothing really. we all go where we like to go.....enjoy your home tracks, it's all we got.......

You're quiet because the Shehawks have sucked balls since the Steelers disposed of them in Super Bowl XL, and you gave up on arguments because you haven't won one in all time time you've been a Racestud member. We all know you're still a weiner, even if you've given us fewer opportunities to point it out recently. Thanks for the reminder, though.

I get instant results on Twitter. Really I'm only here at this point to remind everyone of the time fanmods mooched 20 dollars in gas money off of Gary Risch and if it was still free to create and post xtranormal cartoons; I'd probably still be here everyday.

I will say that fanmods SueHoney and Matt Miley aren't nearly as interesting of adversaries as Rotund Robin sprntr2001 and *Andy Horsetooth*

I seem to remember the time fanmods mooched gas from Gary Risch. He coasted in to Lernerville on fumes, and waited until the gas stations were closed to decide to do anything about a ride home, if I recall correctly. Then he guilted Risch, Sr. into filling his tank for free.

A viewing from the Racestud xtranormal archive could be the shot in the arm that Racestud needs to better compete with social media. If anyone knows how to dig up past xtranormal videos (especially on the topic of fanmods mooching gas from Gary Risch), please post them here.

The other reasons for decreased traffic here and increased on Social Media is that you don't have to deal with the idiot element that just put shit on everyone and everything on Social Media. When someone has their own page, they moderate it and delete the stupidity... something that doesn't happen here. JMO
