I don"t know why they would not give big block modifieds a try,the track is always
nice and i think they would put on a good show, just my opinion.

For a special, maybe. Another weekly Saturday track for the big blocks wouldn't be sustainable though. There just aren't as many to go around these days. Especially for as far away Marion Center is for most of the big block guys.

this would be cool...a big block/small block showdown with rules that would equal out the playing field...

Where all do they run? i can"t think of anywhere they run on friday or saturday other than lernerville, and marion center is no further away than any other track depending on where you live.
Oh thats right they run at sharon and that is not any closer than marion center.

big blocks run at sharon on saturdays and small blocks are at mercer...grandview, big diamond, penn can and sportsmans also run...so any cars would be coming from a distance

For the most part the western pa big blocks can only run night a week. Up through this past weekend there were only 5 or 6 cars that had run every night available. We were one of them and lost a motor Saturday and are gonna be out a few weeks. There just aren't enough cars to go around right now.

Sorry for your bad luck, and hope you get it back together soon. It"s just i think marion center needs a full sized open wheel division.

If Marion center had mods they would have to build flood walls around the track to prevent your modgasms from interrupting the program ...

They're 270s. They have 5 fender divisions, they need some type of open wheel class. The 270s are a great class and can put on a hell of a show at Marion Center for about quarter of the purse. I'm just a little curious what class you run.

path valley started out with 47 and by feature time it was 24 and it was a caution fest. I used to drive one also and they are fun to drive.

Just because they aren't a CROWD pleaser doesn't mean they suck. I ran 270s for a couple years and now I run a 600. They're both fun to drive and Marion Center is an awesome track. I'm interested to see the turn out they get

Had 100 cars without the mod lites so why add another division when it has been proven in the past that a majority of the fans didn't care for the micro sprints any way.

IMO they should be rewarding the divisions that have been supporting them this season with the increased car counts which has in turn put more butts in the grandstands with another bump in pay through out the field.

Do you people ever think about the drivers? Its always a bitch fest about everything.Be happy you have a track to go to.This is a chance for guys that run these cars to race.Whats wrong with that?If you dont like them, go eat a hot dog or call and see what your wife is doing while they take the track.Stop bitching.Support the guys that give you a reason to come to the track. No matter what division. That guy running last in the micro race may be the guy winning ten races in a late model in a few years. But im sure you people will come up with some lame ass shit to say. But, its expected from a group like you!
And D1RT this wasnt all directed towards you.You were the last to post.

You are right, I don't care about them and don't want to set through 3 more heats of them. I guess that is the time I go for a walk..
