Who's in favor of more segregation? -Classified board - items for sale or trade -Unpaid advertisements board - miscellaneous GM crate engine deals and updates, or the arrival of a parts truck at Knox -Press releases board - reports on when Fully Injected drivers fart or get a haircut, Hesston's latest super-huge-gigantic-balls out-can't miss-holy sh1t-mega event -LuvRacingRog board - Rog's bullsh1t spam -Message board - racing results, photos, commentary on racing happenings, and humorous observations ((like it was before being inundated with unpaid advertisements, "press releases" (for lack of a better term), and LuvRacinRog's bullsh1t spam))

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.

I'm sure I'm totally inviting somebody like Dingo to run to his keyboard and type "You and your buddies did it!!! You and scruffy and Huck and Turkeysub chased everyone away!!! If only you'd leave Sue Honey and fanmods alone! Vintage mods!" But seriously everyone says twitter and Facebook have caused the decline in our board but when I go to twitter or Facebook as I did Sunday night to find up to date results from Hesston or Saturday from Marion Center and can't find squat, I'm thinking someone is mistaken and Round Robin, Andy and sprtr2001 are hiding in an unknown location. Perhaps chained in a cage with the Underwear Bandit. Whatever the case, I blame luvracin Rog. He sucks.

While I have it on my mind: As much I hate to because he was a whiner here, but I have to give credit where it's due, if every track's head of social media did as good of job providing updates as Won11virus does on his twitter page for the tracks up north, I wouldn't have as much of a problem with the atmosphere of this board. That dude could tell you who finished in sixth place in the second heat of the 4 cylinders at Raceway 7. Up to date coverage has been extremely lethargic this season. Social media king Matt Miley can't be bothered and even Lernerville's hasn't been up to par.

I don't think this post belongs on this forum section , a separate forum for suggestions would be much more appropriate.

scruffy said what many of us are probably thinking in regards to luvSPAMMINrog, fullyinFECTED press releases, ( the legend is the best press release writer ) ( and Justwho is/where is, the " press " that is actually waiting to see/ report/or give a shit about these releases ???) ......<< disclaimer: When a fullyinfected driver does something big enough to warrant notification of the board, then by all means please do so...... Brad Hibbard continues to find creative ways to spam the board, as he is now doing with " updates "...here's an update Brad, There Is Still A Classified Board For Your SHIT! Even Walt Wimer, who most of us respect has done a little ad postin' of late. He says his " wife is on his case " to get rid of those papers, hopefully she gets on your case to post them on the classified board. With all that said though, I think there may be a general apathy towards racing these days, perhaps from an overall decline in interest in it. Sadly, even those of us who are fans or participants are maybe not quite as enthusiastic about it as we once were, and that, more than the above mentioned topics, may be more to blame for the overall decline of this site. And legend, here's hoping you get out and race and put one of your own humorous press releases on here and show 'em how releases should be written !

I agree with GeislerFan... I think there should be a separate forum for "Whining/Nonsense". Why do the press releases and advertisements bother you so much? All you have to do is scroll past them. Some people enjoy hearing about how drivers in the area are doing or where they are headed the upcoming week. Some people enjoy hearing about discounted prices on race parts. What I personally don't care for is the amount of whining and crying over every little thing that happens in the racing world. This is the greatest sport on the planet... how about we enjoy it while we still have tracks and racers in our area that can provide it for us.

I come here once every couple months to see if there is any useful information, and what I find usually takes me less than 5 minutes to look though.. People think the page is comedy hour, and that fine... just dont expect people to come here looking for actual info. A few people have been allowed to go way to far with there bull shit and those of us who are serious about racing info have left. Might as well let it what it is at this point and before long it will just be a site with a dozen jack offs insulting each other. You want local racing info? Go to the track, bring a friend and put a few asses in the seats! See it first hand! Maybe our sport wil grow and prosper again...

I'm a long time racer and have been a troll on this board for a while, but never saw the point in joining because of all these jack offs. I must admit, I liked your point of view here Blacksheep and I think you are right on the money, so thought I'd join and back up your observations. If you are the guy I'm thinking of, you raced the black and orange 4X Semi Late, so you're not talking crap.

Too many of the a$$holes on here do nothing but berate the sport and those involved with it instead of doing something proactive. I wonder whether they actually go to races or just sit at home behind a keyboard and play with themselves. Probably why they want the results posted.

Anyway, at least we know there are plenty of us out there genuinely interested in our sport, whatever and wherever the track. From Sportsmans Speedway to PPMS, to Bedford Speedway, its all about appreciating the efforts of those involved and supporting them, not continually berating them and making yourself look like a complete a$$.

Believing that #1Cgeislerfan has a sense of humor, rather than a rod in his ass, I think his reply was in jest. Perhaps I'm wrong on all accounts there, but that's they way I took it.

That's fine and dandy that people enjoy reading about local driver news, such as what color socks Danny Holtgraver will be wearing this Friday. I'm suggesting that there be a specific board for that, so that those folks can go directly there and get all the latest on what size blade Jack Sodeman will use to sipe his spare left rear for hotlaps Saturday.

That's fine and dandy that people enjoy reading about discounted prices on race parts offered by businesses that are above advertising on this board, but not above peddling their wares for free. I'm suggesting that there be a specific board for that, too. You can read all about it, while the rest of us are spared.

I'm not saying these areas don't have their place or that nobody appreciates them, but rather that the message board could be more streamlined for the enjoyment of all Racestud members. It may require some time before it takes off - it took 10 years for people to stop posting their items for sale on the message board on a regular basis, but we now enjoy a nearly classified-free message board.

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.

Sorry if I offended anyone by posting my newspapers on here, but I doubt anyone who might be interested in old papers would be looking in a classified section for race cars, parts, tires and the like!! Seems a few people need to get a life and worry about something really important!! I think the PR people are using their heads posting their releases on here. Press releases are to get the word out about what is happening at your track or your driver. What better way than to post them here where everyone who looks here is involved in the sport as a competitor or fan. If you don't want to read them just scroll on by!! That's what I do, as being a member of the media I get most of these releases on my personal email. And as far as this injected guy goes, he does keep me informed where Holtgraver and Sodeman are going to be each week if they are not at home!! Some fans might want to know that as well!! Walt

that's ok with me walt. its no good for a racer to try make a buck in a tough sport and a tough economy. I know that's what the other board is for. but who cares, I like reading anything about racing. somehow its ok to talk about politics, liberals, Obama, and welfare. I go to the races to forget that crap.

Ignoring problems doesn't make them go away .... Our " liberal problem " in this country is 100000 times worse than anyone's drug or
Alcohol problem ever was .... And we see how
Well it worked out for those who choose to ignore their drug and alcohol problems ....

I got no problem with the press releases, "advertisements" for upcoming races from Hesston and ppms etc... atleast its racing related. Fullyinjected loves the sport and is trying to promote it and push it. I follow him on twitter, he'll have updates posted at 4 in the morning after a race AFTER driving back from a track like the Grove just to get things ready when the rest of us wake up in the morning! The dude is busting his ass and racking up the miles to attend races, promote drivers, and push the sport. Interviews with local drivers, podcasts talking racing, results, sponsorships, what more can you want out of the guy, and others like him. Agree with those who say that the posts on obama, drugs, chodelicking and the rest are what put this board down the toilet. I've lurked here for years and now this place isn't good for anything more than 5 or 10 minutes of my time on a monday morning to see if anything useful was posted during the race weekend. I don't expect everyone to agree all the time and worship any driver at every local racetrack, and thats fine, but almost every discussion pretty much instantly degrades into name calling, bashing, or at best thinly veiled insults. This place needs a good moderator or two and someone not afraid to ban some people to get it back on track. cya at the races...
