Tho not racing myself this year.... seems a shame to cancel at 10 AM without even trying to get track ready to race on . Remember racing at the Bash last year , Rained ALL day Friday and Friday night . Got to the track at 7AM Saturday and they were working the track. We were Hot lapping at 12 or 1 PM as I remember and racing heats at 2 with some features mixed in . More or less glad not racing this year if no more effort from track owners and workers are going to be shown as far as putting on races. Would hate to have spent the money to build or repair a car or truck and only get to race it 4 or 5 times a year .

jgilly we appreciate your feedback. Unfortunalty I don't know of the conditions that you speak of regarding the "bash" race. Our condition is that we received 1 1/2" of rain overnight with more projected today. We always base our decisions on what we have gotten not what is projected. The 1 1/2" or rain to go along with the track prep that had take place (watering) prior to the rains were just too much to overcome. However, if you have a way to remove 2-3" worth of water we would love to speak to you about a possible position. We fully understand how hard our teams work on their machines and we appreciate that. In return we work hard to give them a nice facility to race at hoping the combination will draw many fans to watch the great racing they put on. Sometimes though you have to succumb to mother nature and live with what she has dealt you. We have had 5 shows scheduled in 2013 and we have been able to complete (minus the 2 makie up a-mains scheduled for next week) 3 of them. We take pride in the efforts that we put forth in our facility and take it very personal. We hope that you take a little more time to understand the situation that we have been faced with and understand that we will have some great racing to come in the remainder of the 2013 campaign. Please feel free to emial me directly if you have suggestions at kellyracing31@yahoo.com. Thank you, Danny Kelly

Won't happen Dan then u would know who he was. If he does live in Dunkirk he got just as much rain as we did in Forest. The only racing anyonewill see this weekend would be boat races.

For your information Stocker I did send Dan an email and gave him my phone number . I stated in the email that I would welcome the chance to talk with him , but not thru email . I offered to have a sit down conversation with him and discuss the issue as well as others . Do I have all the answers , Probably not but I could make some suggestions and would gladly offer any help I could . My feeling about WRP is simple . WRP has the potential to become one of , if not the premier 1/3 mile dirt track in the area. But it is going to take hard work and maybe a little thinking outside the normal dirt track ideas . Now Stocker , I have no idea who you are , how old you are , or what you race ... but in over 25 years of racing mostly on dirt tracks in Tennessee , Alabama , Georgia and the Carolinas I have raced on some good tracks , bad tracks and excellent tracks . I get the idea you have probably only raced at WRP and Limaland with Eldora thrown in now and again . If you would like to contact me to discuss this please feel free to contact me via email @ terriandjesse@yahoo.com
