Dwayne Brooks takes it to the bank with a big win on a night the team sponsored a fund raiser for the Children's Tumor Foundation. Fans anted up as drivers passed the helmets to raise much needed funds for research for Neurofobromatoses. Paige Doane, a 2 1/2 year old with the disease, and her family were the focus of a special night. The fans kicked in $1,614.37 with the Brockway American Legion upping the ante another $1,000. Life~Stone Christian Church from Philipsburg helped the cause with another $500 and special gifts were given by the Rodkey Racing Team and countless others. A great night for a difficult disease and a great effort by the Brooks Racing Family. Mr. Brooks capped it off in style with a stellar run. The fund raising total actually went a bit higher because at least one driver made a donation of a portion of their winnings. I believe there was a second also.
