and look how many times we have raced in less than ideal conditions...we have skipped intermission...skipped victory lane...and shortened races just to beat the weather...
but no one remembers those nights especially last years finale when we pushed it through to end the point race on the track and we were done by 9:30 waay before the rain hit...and everyone was happy that we forged ahead and ran
we ran 1 night in 2009 where it rained EVERYWHERE but Raceway 7..we had less than 13 cars per division and no crowd but we raced anyway..anyone remember that?..prob not 'cause they were complaining about Lernerville or Dog Hollow cancelling and WE still raced..
Lake Erie does strange things up north and when it rains up there it RAINS!! cant race in a mudpit and cant pull cars out of a parking lot all night either..
Jim
Couldnt have been said better Jim. 7 does a hell of a good job. I have seen the track bladed off to the outside and inside to get races in.I have seen a pond around the light post in 1 and 2. I have seen full race nights completed in 2 hours to beat the rain. Maybe the bashers should come check out the paperclip before they type. People south of 80 dont have a clue how quickly and drastically the weather changes up here and how different it can be next to the lake.

You ever tried to drive a racecar through the pits at rw7 after heavy rain? Or pull a hauler through the pits? We only got 3-5 inches of rain Thursday. But I'm sure you think they could have remedied that... Peoples basements were flooded all over... Hmmmm casino exit of I90 to route 97 in Erie was closed Thursday afternoon at 4pm under 3 foot of water. Pictures all over in the paper. IdiotSorry guys, just trying to get a rise out of Jimbo. I didn't realize the weather was so much worse in Conneaut as opposed to Butler, Mercer, Sharon, Busti, Erie or Pittsburgh thoough. I do remember that night in 2009 Jimbo, that was crazy. Have you ever been to band camp? Do you have any stories about your adventures there?
