Ok i need to chime in now that you mentioned local guys failure above.you need to understand that not every local racer has the time or funds to run events like that so to call them failures is just wrong,do you realize the cost involved to tow to and enter an event like that,i bet not,but when you get on here and mention failure thats just not right. JMO.I thought this was Mason's first try @ Eldora. First try @ the Dream.
I still think Gregg has done well @ Eldora for this years
Dream and the previous World 100's.
Something our "local" guys have failed to do. Just making the race is something to behold for these two guys.
Outside of Chub the only other guy to do well is Davey Johnson who set fast time one year.
Gregg making the World twice tells me he has done really well at the "Big E".

agreed. there are alot of good drivers around here locally. last year at the Ultimate, Rich Gardner was Bad Fast on Saturday night. but he hit the wall ending his night if im not mistaken. if he wouldn't have had Bad Luck on his side, I think he would have Won that night. he was faster than Eckert, satterlee, and all those guys.Ok i need to chime in now that you mentioned local guys failure above.you need to understand that not every local racer has the time or funds to run events like that so to call them failures is just wrong,do you realize the cost involved to tow to and enter an event like that,i bet not,but when you get on here and mention failure thats just not right. How is hitting the wall bad luck? Part failure is bad luck, another car wrecking in front of him is bad luck. Hitting the wall is a driver error.... I wasn't there, but to say he would have won had he not wrecked himself is silly, because those other guys didn't hit the wall and finished ahead of him. In order to finish first, you must first finish. If the invert was 4 I doubt this thread would exist. Just saying have to consider where they started.SprintFun
Gregg has been to the World/Dream 6 times. He has qualified for them the last 3 times he has attempted (I would call that pretty successful). Over the past few years he has not participated in the Dream and World on occasion due to scheduling conflicts with the AMS and 3SF series (As he was busy winning the 3SF point title).
Inverting 6 in the heat race happens all the time out there. Correct me if I am wrong... but your post lead me to believe that you are using that as the excuse as to why he and Zeigler made the race this year.
Good run for both in their heat.

I'm not saying you're wrong about there being lots of good drivers around here. That hasn't went over my head. What's going over your head is the fact that your comment was stupid. To say that hitting the wall is bad luck is just plain stupid. That's the only point I was making and debating.yupp....missed the point.

So the invert didn't really do him any favors. He ran well all weekend, including respectable times in time trials.
If the invert was 4 I doubt this thread would exist. Just saying have to consider where they started.
Good run for both in their heat.

listen man, all im sayin is theres a lot of really good drivers around here, and you're making the biggest deal over whether it was bad luck or not. maybe it makes your balls feel bigger, I don't know. that's not my problem.I'm not saying you're wrong about there being lots of good drivers around here.
