Ramey36......Are you the track's PR guy??? If so, will you be sending out results?? Your post is the very first I have heard of an opening date for the new owner, so being the opener is only 10 days away, he is doing a poor job of promoting his new venture!! He should be posting a release on here, sending such to AARN along with a paid ad!! And an ad on here wouldn't hurt either! Not sure where he is going to get much in the way of cars due to the current state of pavement racing in the western PA area. Motordrome is only getting 10-11 Late Models a week and Lake Erie dropped the class. Could be some of the former Lake Erie guys from New York will come down?? Hopefully he will do well, but he needs to step up his PR efforts. The days of "Open and they will come" are long gone!!
GOOD RACING!!!!
Walt
Hi Walt.
I'm not the PR guy. I'm just a former track champion there who happens to love the place.
The owners aren't from the area so they don't follow racestud too much yet. That's why I posted. Rob and John are pretty savvy and have been to Erie and Motordome and have beaten the bushes so to speak to find cars. They've been in contact with local media around our area in order to promote the event but of course are open to suggestions on how to improve. I will show them this thread.

In addition to the events, they also own http://www.ontrackra...experience.com/. On Track is kind of like a Richard Petty driving experience but with asphalt late models. They have had a great turnout at other tracks for the experience, so have decided to use CNB as their home base.
They advertise of FB and Living Social. Living Social actually draws a lot of fans from the city type areas who are interested in riding in and driving a real race car.
Dirt is currently popular around here (says Mr Obvious Guy) but as John Elliott, the general manager says, even dirt fans are happy to see the track open instead of growing weeds. The new owners have a five year plan and since everything comes full circle in life, we may just see asphalt racing return to prominence in Central PA.
