Does just the Wylie kid himself and Joe Martin have them? Why don't more people run them? I was at McKean on Friday and Martin drove the wheels off that car (until hitting the wall) but man he was smoking them. Never seen a car drive that straight. He's been pretty consistant so far this year, and Wylie picked up a win at PPMS on Saturday too. For being basically a two-car team, they seem to do pretty well. I looked at there website but doesn't seem to be much info on there about them or who drives them. Are they just Rocket copies like a bunch of other chassis that are out there?

I believe Tommy Beck that runs Lernerville and PPMS occasionally has one too.. I think he runs the 91 Super Late.

Oh, fair enough. I agree with you then. I've only seen him run a it a couple times, and he didn't run well.

He looks fast but something always breaks or happens, great guy though.

Wylie had his car hooked up Saturday at PPMS when he drove away in the feature.

I remember hearing that Beck was working on a chassis design of his own. This was a while back, though. Apparently he's not going in that direction?

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.

These cars are definitely not a copy of anything. Andrew is an engineer with a passion for racing. He is one of the smartest people I have ever talked to and has plenty of connections from his time he spent at school in North Carolina. Stop by and take a look at my car or his anytime, it is a unique piece. He's only ever built 4 cars, and there are only 2 (mine and his) that are of the current design. That being said, we are still learning about them. However, recently I think we have turned the corner and am excited to see what we can do from here on out. I have never driven anything as good as my car was Friday night at McKean. I simply screwed up and grabbed the frontstretch wall. With a few breaks I truly believe Andrew can become the next popular chassis in the industry. Not just locally, and not just in crates. He has a bright future. Joe Martin

A new rocket isn't gonna help Tommy Beck.

There is a big difference between a crate and a late model! R&D work takes ALOT OF TIME and hard work, some people dont understand that. If you choose to use actual race conditions vs practice, the process can take longer. Some people dont understand that. Ideas are trial and error, some work, some dont. Also some team members are trying combined ideas while others are using those results or errors for their benefit. Isnt that how teams are suppose to work? Some look good, some dont, all for the benefit of the "team". So before you start throwing people under the bus, get the facts straight first.

Tough crowd! lol Rocky...if that was actually Jayme the comments would've been a lot worse than that! lol I'm with Joe Martin, Wylie Race Cars are not a rocket copy by any stretch of the imagination. Andrew has developed his own frame design, front geometry, fuel cell, and related components...including front spindles which are some of the nicest I've seen in the industry! These cars are only a few years from competing with the top builders in the area with the level of cutting edge technology that has been applied in the engineering development by the Wylie Team. I was provided a generous opportunity to be involved with the development of these cars by Andrew and we both learned a lot in the process. Wylie Race Cars is currently using this gathered data in refining their super late model program. Based on us being at the midpoint of the season, I decided it would be best to wait and finish out the season before applying these refinements to a new Wylie Car in 2014. I communicate with Andrew on a daily basis and am already making these plans for next year. If you haven't had the opportunity yet, stop in the pits and talk to Andrew about these cars. He is very proud of the work he has put into these cars and is always excited to discuss any new developments related to his design.

just curious, what do his cars run for price? i've looked at his website, and these cars have adjustments galore.....that might not always be a good thing, but joe and andrew are proving they are working.....
