I would say this has more to do with Rick Jones than RUSH. after all he is the promotor of the Rock.

I am not a person who will bash race tracks. Though, that race was never going to happen last night at Cumberland. The track was never prepped at all. The only section of track that had water on was the inside of the front straight. Everywhere else was completely dry. It was a shame that teams and fans drove there last evening. It makes you wonder what their game plan was to get the track ready.

Bummer. Off topic a little, why was there no support at a "local" track when they were at Sportsmans?

I agree that Mr. Jones had a lot to do with this whole mess.... However, It's a RUSH show. Are they not responsible for gettin cars for show also? They should be making calls, lining up cars for the show. In the long run it is the track promoters job to prep the track and it does appear that he has no clue.

It's been the same deal at Cumberland for about 5 years. How they even attempt to put out a schedule is beyond me.

Just knowing how Jones has done some things in the past, I wasn't surprised by this. But your right about RUSH having some blame for the show. Funny thing is, both Hagerstown and Roaring Knob had decent fields for their RUSH shows, (not huge, but decent), and the racers had to know about it. Cumberland has been on a long downhill slide for several years, frankly since Ben Evans left and this may be the end of it.

Rush is a joke of a touring series. I have never heard of the outlaws or the all stars or any other touring series cancel because of a low car count. Good job at ripping of the racers and the fans.

I am not sure this is a RUSH touring series issue. I wish I would have taken a picture of the racetrack at the time of cancellation. I've never seen anything like it before. It looked like they showed up when the pit gates opened and forgot to water the track.

The sad thing is that this could such a nice facility with the right promotion team. Great stands, Musco lighting, acres of flat pit ground, the list goes on...
