Yes but you also must consider conditions of pits and parking lot.. But yes you can bet they will do everything to try to get it in Thur, could be a late one.

Gary has been laying down gravel all over. As you can see where the water normally lays is now good to walk on.

The weather cast for the next four days looks wet. Hope they have a plan B, because "mother nature" has a plan which includes daily heavy rain and storms.

Weather Channel says 3-5 inches of rain over the next week, and the daily forecasts make it look like the bulk of that will come over the next couple days. That on top of whatever they've had already. Not looking pretty, boys and girls.

Looking at the hourly on Accuweather the only night looks like may have trouble getting in is Thursday. Friday evening looks clear for the most part, and Saturday rain during day. I remember watching time trials at 10pm one year. If they can get it in, they will. If not, we will probably all be there Sunday.

Looks like tomorrow will be cancelled and moved to a fri/sat/sun format. Hopefully. That one year everyone had to come back a few weeks later, lets hope that won't be the case for everyones sake

Since the three day format, they have not had any night rained out... 2008 Friday was ran but Sat and Sun was washed out. It was made up at the end of July on a Tuesday

Not looking good, but it's all a matter of how much hits when. If they take a couple direct hits from big storms, they're screwed, but if the main guts of the storms miss Lernerville they might be OK.

This post isn't weather related, but looking at that photo reminded of something I noticed last Friday. Why in the hell did they dump that six to eight foot long bed of GRAVEL on the inside berm of the front stretch adjacent to where the emergency vehicles pull out? That is the most idiotic thing I've ever seen. There are enough rocks getting hurled into the lower grandstands. Whoever came up with that idea is a dolt.

big storm = bad; less rain = not as bad as big storm.

Of all places to lay the gravel down. I barely ever see anyone walking in front the stands anyway. LOL Still doesnt help the pits situation and the 50 ton haulers that get stuck in there
