Why do they start PA speed week while OH speed week is still going on?? They would get more cars on both weeks if they didn't over lap like that. Just curious if there is a logical reason that I am not seeing.

Simply put they don't need the All-Stars to make Pa Speedweek successful and it keeps their quality teams at home instead of on the road. Very few teams could actually go to Central PA to race mid week much less be competitive.

There aren't very many cars who would run both speedweeks if they didn't overlap, so neither speedweek's car count would go up much if they separated the dates.

And they moved it back a week so it didn't overlap with PA speedweek. They overlap for 2 nights, every year prior to this year was a 1 night overlap. But then this year PA decided to have a 2nd show at the Grove, so now 2 nights overlap. And like someone else said, not many teams have the funding to run both weeks.

They need to get rid of the overlap and promote it together as the OH/PA Sprint Speedweeks. Run Ohio...add in a couple races in Western PA...and then go run Central PA. Be sort of like a Summernationals for Sprint Cars. Increase the Point fund and crown a OH champ, a PA champ and a Overall Speedweeks Champion for the whole series. Would be great for drivers, fans, and 410 sprint car racing.
