Good LM racing at CC. 19 cars quite a few good ones. Rain delayed start but made for a very fast track. Jim Yoder won feature after Dog/Marion regular Billy Eash broke while leading with 2 to go. Yoder led the first 10 or so laps then Eash passed him in heavy lap traffic, and led until breaking. Quite a show through the lappers though, those two really were flying, and they raced each other very cleanly. Red Farmer was there driving a Luke Hoffner car and wrecked very hard into turn 1 fence. He was OK.

It turned out to be a good night of racing. Super lates was a good race. Jim Yoder was pretty fast tonight. Dwayne Taneyhill looked pretty fast as well. Too bad for Eash. I hope it was just a blown oil line, not an engine. Hoffner had some bad luck with a flat left rear, but rallied back to third. It was great to see That Red Farmer wad ok. I hope they can get the car together for Clearfield. The stock car feature was a great race as well. The top 3 all together at the end. Hats off to Vern for getting the show in. Most other tracks would have called it off.

Watched Red Farmer run Modifieds in Florida back in the 1950s-60s before returning here to western PA. Good to see him still racing!! The three original members of the so-called "Alabama Gang", Farmer and the Allison Brothers, were all from south Florida. They all moved up to Alabama in search of more racing and better purses!! They dominated the Alabama Modified scene for a number of years and then continued to do so into Late Models when that circuit changed about 1964. GOOD RACING!!!! Walt
