I believe in talking to a lot of race fans that if somebody doesn't come up with a 2 day race package or some sort of family package of some kind that the show on either night is going to suffer by the way of fan counts . nobody i talked to can afford 2 days of racing at the current price of admission there needs to be a 2 day package or a 25 dollars a car load or something put in place, i believe this is also true on regular race nights , Dick Delisle had the theory that a empty seat made him no money at all and an empty seat never bought any food from the concession stand and his best way of making money was to put butts in the seat . i know there are a lot of fans not coming out as much because if you have yourself and a spouse and 2 kids over 12 years of age it cost you 48 dollars to watch a regular show . i hope someone comes up with something or a lot of people will have to make a decision between one night or the other and i believe Saturday night is going to be the night of choice.maybe if you bring your ticket from Saturday night there could be a discount or bring a ticket from another track so you could draw new fans .i hope i am wrong but i believe one night is going to suffer with a small crowd .

It's been that way for years.......costs WAY to much to bring a family. Any one under 16 should be free with an adult. A more affordable way to bring the family will bring more fans and create future fans and a future for the sport. What they lose at the gate will be made at the food stand. I realize that in this economy the track has to make money to stay open ........ Just don't forget we're that money comes from.

Say the track charges 12.00 to get in .... That's 12.00 without any costs associated as their are fixed costs to operate a race track reguardless if fans show or not. Making $12.00 off concession food probably requires the person buy $30.00 worth of food ... What is the chance of that happening ??

Racing is an expensive hobby be it an actucal racecar driver or fan... figures u would have to complain about the cost to get into to watch after hearing all your rants about the cost of fielding a car.. maybe its time to find a new hobby ace..

Last time my family of 4 went to a movie it was over $60.00 for admission and a few drinks and a popcorn. You can still bring a cooler and food into the racetrack to cut cost. Try going to an amusement park for a day.

Maxx you seem to have an ax to grind on everything i say and i don't get it i don't know you and i hope i never do i am just saying that 68 dollars for a family of four for two days of shows is too much for this area it is not like the world of outlaws are running it is a show of 410 sprints ...street stocks and fwd four cylinders , i am just saying with the track record of how many 305 sprints show up how can anyone depend on the 410 cars showing up ...just saying if the show on sunday pulls a small crowd it may be because there needs to be an adjustment to the cost .there would be a lot more people in the stands even on a saturday night if there was a family package that is not coming from me i am telling you what the people think. get a race car maxx see what you think i believe it was you crying you had to sell out due to the cost ... am i right? next thing you know if there isn't a huge crowd for sunday someone on here will bitch that this isn't a sprint car area, not because of the cost. do what ever makes you happy just a heads up to the track personell on what people think take it or leave it , it is free advise.

For a $12 ticket each night to see a regular program, then a $3000 to win sprint show is VERY reasonable. Keep in mind the sprint show will attract people that will never come to AMP otherwise. Break down your cable bill for each NASCAR race you watch on TV? Not much of a difference. Instead of coming on here begging for a discount, When you see Mr. Taylor thank him for putting on a sprint race with a PA POSSE purse and not raising the admission.

I feel that comparing going to the amusement park one time during the summer, to going to the racetrack every week or even every other week, is a poor comparison.

I bet if they sell $10 worth of food, that $5 or $6 of it is profit. Maybe even higher than that.

I never said anything about a movie or ball game in my statement. I took my family for years and paid every step of the way. All I was trying to get across was an idea of a way to bring more people to the track......and the other person was correct also, people won't spend $30 at the food both either. I guess I'll just shut up now and let you master minds figure it all out.

I guess some people just get on here and want to fight over a matter of a difference of opinion , that is fine this is America and everyone has a right to an opinion , but even Challenger and Mckeen county had a package for their multi -day shows ... forget i said anything but maybe someone who goes both days to the show am AMP can tell us what day had the most fans attending , my money is on the Saturday night show . if you want people to spend money you have to give a little in return after all the Sunday show is only 3 divisions . like i said it is just an opinion. i know the hillside will be short at least 10 people in the spot i sit in and that empty spot don't spend money at the concession stand , think about that .

I don't recall comparing the amusement park one time during the summer to going to a racetrack every week or every other week. I'm comparing one trip to the amusement park to one trip to the racetrack.

Only when you spout off nonsense posts do I chime in..im hurt that the "raceace" don't wanna know me..< sarcasim if u didn't get it>... 68 dollars for a family of 4 for 2evenings of entertainment really wow that's cheap if you ask me.. Go price a 410 world of outlaws show, im thnking you could prob get urself into that MAYBE... its a 410 sprint show paying 3000 to win, when was the last time a track had that??? just saying that I don't wanna spent the money on sunday doesn't meanother race fans wont be there.. ive had a racecar I never cryed I had to sell out I just stated that I couldn't afford it anymore and moved on to being involved in another winning race team instead of boohooing on here how I cant afford to do it anmore and wanting tracks to cater to what I want unlike u...it isn't and never will be a sprintcar area and I doubt your advice over this issue means that much to Jeff

but even Challenger and Mckeen county had a package for their multi -day shows ..

Yes, but now you're comparing Late Model special events to AMP's one night of regular racing followed by a one night special with a completely different headliner. At Challenger and McKean, you knew what you were getting. Three nights of Late Model top-billing, increased purses (and ticket prices) and the support divisions. Both tracks gave you the option to buy separately in case your schedule couldn't allow you to take advantage of a 3-day pass. Neither of these specials offered a 'regular night of racing' as we know it.

Now, us locals are at a distinct advantage here concerning the Sunday sprint race. And what a good time not to be anchored to a 2-day pass (ugh!).

Most likely, the bulk of the fans that are true sprint fans have a much longer driver to AMP than us. Now, AMP is in its freshman year (again) and while good things are happening and Jeff has worked hard on erasing bad history, we still know the 410 history at the previously named AMP tracks was hit-n-miss with sprint car counts. Let's face it, there was a dud or two up there - but hey, we're not a deep sprint area. I never went up there with high expectation when wings were on the schedule but supported them nonetheless - even if I left feeling short-changed afterwards.

True sprints fans making long trips are probably going to pay to get in regardless if only six 410s show up because they made the trip and resign to "well, we're here now, so....". Us locals have the option to stay home up until it favors our driving distance after we've used as much social media and cellphone calls as possible to justify going. If you buy the 2-day pass (I hate use that because this isn't a 2-day show but you want it that way) and a poor turnout happens, then those usual suspects will be on here bitchin' up a storm how the pass was a ripoff.

If money's an issue, work out your own options. I don't think you can back Jeff into a corner for giving you the fairest option. He's being equally fair to those sprint fans who will be elsewhere on Saturday night, too.

It's all about perspective I guess. For some families, a trip to the amusement park might be viewed as their vacation for the summer. I doubt the same family is going to view going to the races one time as their vacation.

For others, a trip to the amusement park might be an every other week occurrence, just like going to the races every week or so, for another family.
