i think they are talking about the neck support collars being highly recommended.
SAFETY
: Must have racing seat that is securely mounted to frame. No fiberglass seats. Must have an
approved racing

I tend to agree with that line of thinking. It doesn't offer support in any way, shape or form.
But I firmly believe that if a driver can a afford it, a HANS or whatever other head and neck support is definitely a good idea.

IMO any driver that doesn't use the proper safety equipment IE: multi-layer fire suit, fire proof underwear and gloves, head and neck restraint system but yet will spend tens of thousands of dollars on their race car/engines/haulers are simply ignorant and show they could care less about their family and friends.
