If its not heat winners it's probably based on qualifying timesCan someone explain to me how the DASH is determined in the RUSH CRATE SERIES ?? it seems like a real dumb thing to have a DASH to determine starting order. and the guys who win heats aren't even included most times. Why even have a DASH ???

From how it was explained to me the rush dash is like a product dash. Winner gets some free stuff and so does does second place ect. Haven't been to the races in a while but that is how bit was explained to me.
Brian, you were there last night. What do you mean havent been to the races in awhile!

The 4th place finisher in each heat runs the dash for 13-16 starting spot, as well as the winner getting a $100 gift certificate to K&N Filters. The idea started 2 years ago as a way to give back to drivers who may not be running up front. Everyone bitches about payout, but when something like this is done, people bitch even more. I think it's a great idea(one of the very few Vicki has had in the recent years) as it gives a little break on the little guy or someone who just has a bad night.
While I understand this, and like the idea, I didn't hear why the dash wasn't run this way at Sharon. Thomas and Montgomery started 5th and 6th in the feature after winning their heats, and Latta, Blair, Pegher and Wylie were in the dash that determined 1st through 4th. Why the change?

Sounds like Doug from hesston developed that formatRUSH has two different dash formats depending on car counts, heat races and all kind of stuff.
If they do not have a lot of cars they will use the dash to set the first four positions of the feature after they have pulled an invert number from anywhere from 1 to 9. So if the winner of a heat 1 pulls a number 7, he will start 7th and the guys who would of been on the pole through 4th starting place go ahead and run a dash to set the the front 2 rows up.
If they have a lot of cars, where they are going to redraw 10 or 12 cars, they will run the dash for the cars that finish one spot behind the redraw car, at Pittsburgh a couple weeks ago, cars who first 1st, 2nd or 3rd in one of the 4 heat races went into the redraw and the 4th place cars got to run the dash to set the positions 13-16 for the feature.
I tried my best to explain it.
