you guys need to get ahold of all the car owners that have showed up and get all of them together for a night not show up one week and then don't show up for the next three weeks , that is just my opinion if you get a good car count or help a guy who is working on a car this class will be a good one .i know from reading on here at least one guy was pissed at the payout .

I agree with getting all the cars together at once really wish that would happen and as far as the payout it was up to 400 sat night so it is on the rise

maybe look into bringing fastrak there. something with a good point fund at the end of the year to give the racers a little something extra. also something with 1 set of rules so everybody is on the same page. just an opinion not trying to start anything.

How would that get more cars in the semi late class?

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.

Did anyone ever consider that this being a low budget class for guys to race late model type cars that can't afford crates or supers that maybe these guys can't afford to race every week ??? Or possibly don't have time to race every week ??? It takes a solid 20 hours of work just to maintain a car if nothing is wrecked plus the money to do so...

congrats on the win Saturday, do you think many 602 cars know how well your car is doing with the 602 and oil shocks? Ace has said it before, and you prove it each week, the class does not require a lot of money in the engine compartment to be competitive, I would think some of the 602 engine cars would jump on this class. quote name='crateracer7' date='Jul 23 2013, 04:33 AM' post='371840'] Just wondering what everyones thoughts were to try and get more cars in the class [/quote]

How many 602 cars are there, most Fastrak and Rush cars are 604's.

I think 3 different ones were there, two of whcih have won features; I know at least three of the cars are racing pure stock engines with cast cranks and pistons; last week feature winner told me he is turning his 602 engine 54 to 5600, that is exactly where we are turning the pure stock engines. A fresh enigne could run 3 years with the limited number of laps and gentle use.

I believe someone will build an engine to edge of the rules at some pont but at this juncture, every car is ompetitive with the rules package.

I would love to see another track pick up this rule package and race these cars weekly.

It's a new class and it'll take time to build it up. I think by next season they'll have a full car count of semi's. I know I'll have one if the class sticks.

thanks and I don't know if the word is out about the 602 doing that well or not there are still lots of them out there I think its just a matter of getting the word out that it is a good cost effective class that is growing.

amp claims a 3 year commitment for the semi class. i believe them. this is the class of the future. steel block late models are a joke. they save about 2500 dollars or less on a block. and thats it! semi class saves you 30,000 on a motor and 5000 on shocks. at hummingbird or amp there are maybe 4-5 super late cars that could qualify with real super late shows. the rest need to re-think weather they want to win or just fill in spots. Top of the line 10 degree spread bore 430 is 41k with a carb power that can set on the pole anywhere against anyone ... You show me the steel block guy who spent 38,500 on his motor. The steel block cars normally look like demo derby pieces ... No way are they dropping that kind of money

Are the rules the same as posted on the website? Can you run a 604?

No 604 motors are allowed because of the roller cam

yes; the rules are as posted and teched. but there was a rumor that a clip front cars will be allowed? I have not heard officially yet, the 604 is legal except the cam; change the cam; flat top pistons, oil shcoks and race.

There are several 602 engines listed on this site for sale complete from top to bottom at very reasonable prices so that would be the way to go.
