Boy, does that guy have some bad luck. Get well soon, Jack. On a related (kind of) note, someone needs to set the driver of that 2s, Francis Sesco down and have a talk with him. He is wild and all over the track. I didn't see the beginning of the incident where Jack was injured, but the 2s, as well as a couple of other cars, was involved. Then in the feature, the 2s spun in turn 2, and collected Brandon Matus who was in contention for the win. It seems as if Sesco is going off on the hook every week, and sometimes he is taking others with him. He either needs to get into a beginners class or possibly a 305 and get some seat time. Contrary to the popular opinion on this board, not everyone can drive a 410 Sprint.

Things have gone too far with Francis Sesco. Up until this point he has only hurt himself and his wallet. Now Jack Sodeman has a broken back thanks to Sesco. Who's next? There needs to be an intervention at one of these driver's meetings with this guy. There is already talk of a boycott by the drivers if the tracks don't take action. Francis Sesco is the most hated driver in Western Pa racing by the fans and his competitors. How are the fans going to react when they see 18 sprint cars lined up at the gate and only Sesco in the pits? As Chuck Noll used to say it's time for him to get on with his life's work. I wish Jack Sodeman a speedy recovery but he should be in the garage prepping his sprint car today instead of convalescing from a broken back.

I don't think it should ever come down to the drivers having to boycott a race, because of a drivers action. Most tracks have the proper officials in place that can easily deem a driver unsafe and suspend them from competition. Found this in Mercer's rules: 8. The promoter and/or track officials reserve the right to reject any car and/or driver without recourse. Only suitable cars will be approved for competition. All cars and drivers are subject to inspection at any time by tech inspector and/or promoter.

Not standing up for the guy, and I think it's just plain wrong that it has been allowed to go on for this long..... But, has anyone ever tried helping the guy? Maybe give him some setup help or some tips on how to get around the track? If not for any other reason, than to look out for your own safety and wallet? Or have people attempted to help him and it fallen on deaf ears? Just wondering, I've seen it both ways over the years. It's probably gone to far now and nobody would be willing to help at this point though. I hate seeing guys get hurt and hope Jack makes a speedy and full recovery though.

The word going around the pits last night is that he listens but doesn't hear, if you catch my drift.

I'll take this rant to mean that he hasn't been any better at MRP?

I'm pretty sure at Lernerville it's been at least four weeks in a row he has gone off at least once per night on the hook, sometimes along with some others because of his lack of brains and/or talent.

And you're right. Sooner rather than later he either gets punted by the officials or teams will refuse to run where he shows up.
