TRIPLE CROWN SWEENEY CHEVROLET FASTRAK NORTHEAST TOUR RACE #1 RECAP **FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE** July 28th, 2013 FASTRAK PR (Conneaut, Ohio) - Robertson wins at Raceway 7 despite strong challenge from Latta, Henry and Wright!! Wayne Robertson the Coming, NY native made his way to his first Raceway 7 win and what a perfect way to start his weekend. He now leads the points going into night 2 at Eriez Speedway, but not without some serious competition. Matt Latta and Billy Henry Jr ran lap after lap beside each other until eventually Chad Wright and Latta began to battle. Wright eventually having a tire going down lap after lap leading him to finally pull off then Latta charged after Robertson in what looked like was going to be a last turn challenge for first place. A lap car forced Latta to change his line just enough to fall back about 6 car lengths and some breathing room for Robertson to get his first Raceway 7 feature win. Utilizing the National format, FASTRAK competitors from 4 surrounding states came to Raceway 7 to compete for the "INAUGURAL Triple Crown". It’s the first time for this prestigious event in the SWEENEY Chevrolet Northeast Touring Division. "Winning this event is especially good" said Robertson in victory lane after the race. "I look forward to the next two days and hoping to take the CROWN back to New York". The HVH "tough luck" award went to Paul Pifer. He was awarded a HVH new style carb spacer ($127 retail value).
