I can't believe there hasn't been anything about this race on here yet.

This Sunday, August 4th, Sportsman's Speedway will be having there annual Sam & Bonnie Colwell Memorial. This year money will be raised and donated to the Clarion Cancer Center. The Outlaw Sprint Warriors, 270cc Micro Sprints, Pure Stocks, and FWD 4-Cylinders will also be running.

* Chinese auction (donations from local business people and track owners)
* 50/50 Drawing
* 12 and under bike races & prizes for children
* $1 pins or papers to write your name on and be hung for display
* Balloons will be let go during the pacing of the 358 race
* Meet the drivers and trophy queen during intermission
* Winner of the 358 Modified race will have their name on the annual Sam and Bonnie hand crafted trophy constructed by their children and grandchildren
* Special performance of the National Anthem by the Jam Band
* And much, much more! Please come out and help support and
raise money for the Clarion Cancer Center while you and your
family enjoy a fun filled night of racing for the fight
against cancer!

Sam and Bonnie, the couple who first opened the track were both victims of Cancer.
This is in honor of their fight and to give back to the local community. We appreciate
all the support we can get!! Both family and friends will be working to make this
all possible.

Maybe because the track does very little PR!!! Nice to know the race is paying $1,000 to win!! I had NO info on what they were paying!! Walt

Is there any way that the purse for the Modified race could be posted? Our race team is considering on going, but with the cost of fuel, tires, etc., we won't pull out of the driveway on a mystery bag purse. <_<

I don't have a clue on what the rest of the purse pays. You can contact Jim Colwell at 814-797-1621 though.

Shouldn't it be posted on the website???? How can you expect teams to plan to travel and figure out their expenses if the purse is not posted anywhere?

its a big secret for the purse but my guess is they put $1000 on top of their regular purse
