COMING AUGUST 10 Pink Out Night at AMP! As a way of showing support for breast cancer awareness and for Co-owner America Taylor, who is a 13-year survivor of breast cancer we are trying to PINK OUT the grounds. During the night we will have a Pie your Favorite Driver cost. For just $1 a pie you can pie your favorite driver and the driver with the most pies gets to choose where he wants his money donated and he or she will receive a $25 Sheetz card for participating. This will be held during intermission in the infield. We are still looking for more drivers to sign up. There will also be Crazy Auction which will start about 3 p.m. in the pavilion. The winners will be announced after the pie contest. We are still accepting donations if anyone would like to donate. Also there will be baked goods for sale. Face painting for the children will be held by the Candy/Souvenir shop early in the evening. AMP is asking fans and drivers to wear pink for this special night, lets paint the stands and hillsides pink! PLUS there will be a full six-division show, with Late Models, Semi Lates, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks and Four Cylinders, PLUS the Laurel Highlands 305 Sprints! Gates will open at 3 with racing at 6:30 p.m. More info is on the website at www.americasmotorsportspark.com

you guys should have ran this week considering the fair will have nothing to do with automobile races and likely by saturday everyone would have probably already went to the fair that wanted to.... j.m.o

Right, fair night is taken off just to be a good neighbor, so fans don't have to choose where they want to go and so they don't have to worry about the funding.

You just couldn't go one post without being a Negative Nancy? The track has taken fair week off in the past and I think it's a great idea. There's plenty of other tracks to go to around the area of you can't go one night without racing.

Agree. This thread is to promote an event associated with funding anti-cancer efforts.

Cancer sucks. Supporting AMP's efforts on August 10th doesn't.

Way to bring up some shit that has nothing to do with this thread.

And you wonder why literally everybody on this board hates you.....

Cancer sucks. I hope the pinking out and the show itself are rousing successes. If I didn't have previous non-racing related plans, I'd totally be there to support it myself.

I just wanted to add a little update on the Pink Out Night at AMP. We have had a tremendous amount of support for this event from the community. The donations have been coming in really well for our Crazy Auction. I would like to say Thank you to everyone who has helped make this event possible. Winners will be announced shortly after the Pie your Favorite Driver contest. We will also be having a Bake sale. We are still in need of a few more Drivers to join in on the fun for the "Pie your favorite Driver" contest. I have heard that some Drivers are shying away from this because of the mess it will make. But we will be providing ponchos, goggles, water, soap and towels so that all Drivers can clean up after this part of the event. So any Driver that still wants to join in on this fun event, please contact me. Tickets for this event will be on sale in the Pavilion for $1.00 per pie and at the moment this event is scheduled during intermission. Also we will be holding the Launching of the Lanterns. For only $5.00 you can purchase a Lantern to show your support againist this terrible illness. Lanterns can be purchased in the Pavilion and will be set off by the Pavilion shortly after dark. We are asking that Drivers wear something Pink and/or put Pink on their cars. We will have Pink Ribbons for $1.00 at the Pit Admissions for any Driver that is in need of something Pink. There will be many other things going on through out the evening so please come out and join our fight againist this terrible illness and enjoy a great night of racing. Gates open at 3, Racing to start at 6:30.
