Ok, so I have been wondering.... Rarely does anyone talk about Roaring Knob. The races are usually very good but it seems the stands on the hillside have alot of empty spaces where race fans should be. Generally the place has 2-groove racing and I have even been told the Ernie Jones Memorial Sunday was very good. Why isn't anyone talking about Roaring Knob?

I don't get why folks don't really talk about it either. It's a great little racetrack and and awesome facility. As for the stands being sparse, every time I go it seems there are lots of people in their lawn chairs on the hill or in their cars in the drive in section.

The NDRL will be there on labor day for $20g's, that's going to be an awesome show!

I love the Knob. If it wasn't for hauling up the Summit I'd probably still be racing an emod there. Would love to drive my Sportsman there but there's no way I could with their rules package.

I think it has a lot to do with location. It is down in the West Va and Maryland area and it just gets lost to an extent. They could do a better job on social media as Lernerville, Sharon, & PPMS seem to do.

Benny, I agree with you. Any emails I've sent to them have never been answered. When I won in my emod up there they didn't even have anyone taping the races (2011). I rarely see anything on here event result wise. it's almost like they need a strong PR push.

Generally speaking, they can brag a little about their racing in the results but rarely do we hear a peep. Heck, most tracks have to be "creative" to try and spice up their results stories, but not Roaring Knob. I am excited about the NDRL event as well---the racing surface, if it's per usual, should be conducive to 2 and 3 wide racing.

Hey Vince, I've run my car at the knob 2 times this year, their rules are now similar ppms. To be honest nobody even came over and looked at my car, not even to look at the belts.. Better have a hammer, those guys get around that place quick. I know some think I have a hammer.. lol. (355) but i'm mid pack at best up there.
