Looking to purchase a drum of 110-114 octane fuel. Who has the best prices? I regularly go south and can get a gallon at $6.50 off the street, but these guys charging $9.25 a gallon are not getting my business.

Sunoco products at PPMS on race nights. Their Gt plus fuel, $8 per gallon is reasonably priced in comparison to other fuels and is winning at the Monster. Kyle Lukon picked up a $500 bonus recently for winning the RUSH Tour race with it. Ben Miley is also using it with a spec SLM motor and has had some nice top 5 runs recently.

I know Luther p miller in Johnstown is around 8.25 a gallon, I don't know if there is a discount if you buy a drum.

sportsmans speedway has turbo blue 114 for 8.50 a gallon. had fresh fuel delivered this week

Turbo blue claims 115 octane but in reality is only a Mon of 105 the MON or motor octane number is the only relevant number as that is how it reacts in the motor. Vp late model plus only
Has a research octane of 114 but it has a MON of 113. If you put turbo blue in a serious engine with serious compression it will detonate , it will break and you will cry on message boards that your engine builder doesn't know what the hell
He is doing ...the same thing goes for oil ....

I believe turbo blue 110 is around 107 motor octane. This should be good enough for engines up to 12.5:1 but every engine is different.

Mon is 105 directly off their website ... Plus it's very inconsistent and commonly has random bullshit floating in that ends up in the carb. I only point this out since according to this board every street stock in Pennsylvania has 30k minimum in their motors ....I believe turbo blue 110 is around 107 motor octane. This should be good enough for engines up to 12.5:1 but every engine is different.

A lot of suggestions which don't mean much since we don't know what your engine is! As to your original question of where to buy fuel, where you located? SAving 10 cents a gallon isnt wort driving 50 miles! Secondly what fuel r u looking for? And lastly talk to you engine builder about what fuel you need, and remember fuel is not magic, buying a higher grade than what you need will not make more up, and there is much more to choosing the correct fuel than just octane ratings!

Your absolutely correct higher octane fuel is just harder to light and if you have more octane than you need for a given compression ratio your giving up power.... It's funny I assumed that all of the guys with 30k in their iron head wet sump vaccume secondary street stock motors would have elite level engine builders giving specific instructions on fuel .... Maybe either the builders aren't that good or someone is lying about 30k street stock motors .... HmmmmA lot of suggestions which don't mean much since we don't know what your engine is!
