One of the worst LM crashes I've seen in a long time.
Not sure, just my opinion, but it looked to me like his throttle stuck. He was going full bore when he cleared turn four. I hope he's okay. Was glad to see him walk on his own to the ambulance.
Yea, That was not Eck's fault.

don't think it was a stuck throttle, car turned right in the middle of the corner and was airborne instantly. he had help. tight racing. One of the worst LM crashes I've seen in a long time.

That is how I witnessed it, Davies was passing him and the 03 bumped him in the rear quarter causing Ron to shoot out over turn 3.don't think it was a stuck throttle, car turned right in the middle of the corner and was airborne instantly. he had help. tight racing.

I was sitting in turn 4. I had picked Ron to win and watched him come down the back stretch and turn into 3. Ron went low through 3 and cut straight up the track in front of Eck. Ron drove through the front of Eck's car then got air from the banking and landed in the fence in front of the pit bleachers. Looked as though Ron never lifted off the gas. I am a fan of Ron's. This wreck appeared to be a mechanical problem with Ron's car. When Ron's car shot across the front of Eck's car there was nothing Eck could of done. Eck would not of seen Ron until Ron was coming off the bottom of turn 3 and heading up the track in front of him. Ron did walk to the ambulance but needed the help of the first responders as he was not steady on his feet. Praying for Ron.
Dano47 - You are exactly right on what happened. Eck has torn up alot of cars but this one is not on him. You could replace Eck with anyone else in that heat and would have been the same results.

I saw him go airborne from turn 1. My first tought was ,he's going over the fence. I checked the moon last night but it wasn't full. A lot of torn up cars in all the classes last night.A flip in 2 of 3 heats for the sprints. The one looked like he flipped into turn 4 pit gate. All in all a lot of bent metal last night.I've been going to the races since the 1950s, and that is one of the worst crashes I have ever seen. As another poster said, great job of car and fence building.
