I wonder if the " secret extra laps and payout " Late Model Special brought in many "new cars " ?? Probably had to make the pits bigger to handle the over flow. I wonder if the winner is still trying to figure out how much he won or is it still a secret ?? LMAO !!!! By the way, who won ?? Gregg Satterlee picked up the win tonite @ PPMS in the RMR. He picked up $5,000+ for his win and he knew before he got to the track what he would be racing for.

A total purse increase of $750. Distributed throughout the field. No extra laps, but the winner received an extra $150. !

Need to start being more fan & racer friendly. Specials mean extra laps????? What money?????? Next thing you know, they will be racing for trophys........... pi$$ poor speaker system...get an announcer who doesn't "eat" the mike and you can understand what he says!..... they open the gates at 6pm, 1-1/2 hr to announce the driver info BEFORE they start the engines!!!!!!!!

No need for a new PA system, The announcer never really has anything interesting to say. The only use the PA system [ old or new ] gets is to promote the concession stand period !!

A good race track announcer has some info on the drivers, some of their acomplishments, a little info on the equipment they run etc.

The good announcer will spend time in the pits before the races talking to drivers, car owners learning about their racing.

I am sure the race fan has more interest then what they are pushing at the concession stand.

A race track has to be Promoted. Forget this build it and they will come deal.It looks like they did get a few more late models for their so called Late Model Special.

They probably laughed all the way home. As some one stated on here $150.00 on top of 1st. place and $750.00 across the board. The way I got it figured postions 2 - 28 got an added $600.00 added to their purse.

I can see now why they kept their big "Late Model Special" a secret.

All of what I read on this board could either be fact or fiction, but what I write on this board is just my take on things as I see them.

If I don't like it I can stay home.. and I do

Where do you think the money comes from to pay the drivers? That's not really a bad price for entertainment. It cost about $12 per person to go to the movies anymore.
