Much as I hate to say it Walt, I think there's something wrong with your email if you're not getting mine or theirs! Might have to call tech support from your service provider, because something isn't right with your inbox!

Hi Eric!!! Got results from all the other tracks on the circuit, its just those "quick results" that don't seem to be coming through any more. Also tons of jokes and eBay stuff!! I sort of question if the FASTRAK guy sent anything or maybe he had my email address wrong?? Walt

Hi Walt. I generally am not one to post or even read message boards, but this is the second time I have read this. What is the purpose of you bashing Wesley (whom is a very good guy) and Fastrak for not sending you their PR reports? I would think it is your responsibility as an editor to help promote the sport and/or series, not bash/question whether he ever sent them to you. When I do sign on to racestud, I always see press releases from Fastrak. Can’t you use those for your newspaper? Thank you. Andrew

Walt seems to be getting a bit of a love for drama in his old age and is likely losing the respect of some people each time he posts his personal conversations on here. We all saw his drama unfold for a month about those damn old racing newspapers. Meet you here, meet you there, at this or that time and so forth. All of which could have been done by P,M. So now he cries over not getting press releases. Hey Walt, either attend the events and write your own stuff or just don't write about anything that you feel should have been sent to you and wasn't. In other words , do your whining and make your plans to meet people by some other means than this board. Now, who's gonna be the first butt hole to tell me " but this IS a message board "

" Looks like ONE MORE, for the good guys "..........Scott Hall

Think about it ..... Who would Walt be more affiliated with a guy from Georgia or " the other people " seems to be agenda driven lol. There's not room for 2 crate touring series in this small area and there was never a reason for a second one to start.

I'm not going to tell you this is a message board. I am going to remind you that Walt Wimer has done more to promote Western Pa Racing than virtually anybody in this area. He can't get to every race. So he like all writers relies on be tracks and racing series to help him gather his information by sending press releases. You don't have a clue the amount of time it takes to sort through all the releases and notes you accumulate each week to put a column together. AARN requires columns to be submitted by 10:00 am Monday and they prefer them earlier. I hate to say it but I'm still waiting for information from the Fastrak race myself. Walt, thanks for everything you have done for Western Pa racing.

I don't think walt is bashing anyone, he simply wants to receive the press releases so he can maybe use them in his monthly columns. walt is a true race fan and knows more on the history of dirt racing in northwestern pa than anyone I have ever come across. I would think it would be a good idea to make sure he receives them, maybe get some publicity out there for fastrak.

Well said Andrew as I was wondering the same thing. A professional journalist might contact the Fastrak Office via telephone and/or e-mail at least once before bashing the gentleman on a public forum. The press releases are on Facebook, the Fastrak website and this site so someone wanting the information can get it and if he has additional questions why not contact the firm via e-mail or call them.

This doesn't have anything to do with what Walt has done over the years. It has everything to do with how he apparently has an ax to grind with Fastrak. Not sure why he is having a problem getting the press releases. I read them in here very soon after each weekend. If you have a problem you can solve it a lot quicker by picking up the phone and calling then posting a little rant on here.

Is mercer doing press releases anymore?? Haven't seen but maybe one or two this year.

I agree there clearly appears to be an ax to grind . And like you said it has nothing to do with the effort he has dedicated over his life to promote local racing .

OK, just stop and think about this for a minute. Imagine you are a columnist trying to put a story together that covers not just 1 track but many tracks. Is it easier to have the tracks / sanctioning bodies involved e-mail you a copy of their results so everything is in one place OR spend a lot of time jumping from one website to another to find the information ? I am sure Walt has contacted all of the tracks and sanctioning groups and asked to be added to their mailing lists. I can't imagine that he has "an ax to grind" with anyone. How many of you actually know Walt ? He is one of the nicest gentlemen I have ever met at the track or elsewhere.

Why do I like racing ? Well the colors are bright and there is a lot of movement, so it holds my attention.

5 years is so ago I would agree. Most sites do results and write ups the day after a race and we can get instant race results via twitter, Facebook and apps. Times change, my friends.
