Owens: No. The tire thing is still pissing him off.
Moyer: Yes. He's second in points.
Pearson: No. The only non-Lucas races he runs are the big ones at Eldora, Volusia, and The World Finals
McDowell: I'd learn towards yes. He generally shows up at all the big races. I could even see Ty Dillon showing. The truck series is off that weekend.
I doubt Chub Frank, Clint Smith, Don O'Neal and Tyler Reddick will show.

I figured they'd pick up almost all of the woo since they're in NY the night before. Why do you think Chub wouldn't show? He lives so close, relatively speaking...

I hope the get a lot of cars .... As beating 100 cars to win 25 k will feel better than only beating 50 but 50 is more realistic. People can call me crazy but incidents like hubbards last week and Richards last year do NOT help with getting huge car counts ... People do talk about incidents like that and make decisions accordingly. But like I said I hope they get a 100 cars and packed grandstandsChub hasn't run much of anything outside the WoO this season. I don't expect him to start at a track he's admittedly not too fond of.
Also, Tim McCreadie, Tim Fuller and Vic Coffey will 100% not be there. They'll be at Syracuse that weekend. I have a feeling Clint Smith, who freely admits his season has sucked thus far, will also be at Syracuse just hanging out with his buddy Tim Fuller.

Kennedy was stupid for putting this kind of $ up at a track that most drivers HATE. He could have got one of the biggest car counts of the season if he had chosen a better track for this. PPMS can barely get a full field for their $5,000 races. NDRL only had 50 some cars at their opening races at Paducah and I-55, the races paid more total than the Pittsburgher that weekend ($40,000 to win), and they are much better-liked tracks by the drivers. They should have a ton of crates if you like them.

It's easy to pass if your a second faster than the car your trying to pass if your only a tenth or 2 faster its damn near impossible except for restartsThe only reason drivers hate the place is because they don't know how to set up for it. Therefore if they don't attend the Pittsburgher because they hate the place they wouldn't be contenders anyway if they did show up. PPMS is one of the easiest tracks in the country to pass on, drivers certainly don't hate the place because it isn't racey. The best always rise to the top at PPMS, that's been proven many times in the last several years. I would rather see a good race on a good track with less drivers than a poor race on a poor track with more drivers. More cars doesn't make the racing any better.

That's not accurate ...with 98% of the slide jobs they pull within 2 laps they are 25 car lengths or more ahead of the car they passed which as I said its easy to pass if your significantly faster than the car your trying to pass.Been there lately?
If your as fast as the car ahead of you........ and in control, a slide job for position is in order. Jared and Barbara do it all the time.

I never knew Chub didn't like the place. Too big?
Posted 22 August 2013 - 03:25 PM
It's not that it's too big, but back when the WoO ran there for the Pittsburgher he used to whine about the big spoilers and spillboards on the spec cars. He used to say it gave them an unfair advantage. When the WoO stopped running there a few years back, so did he.

With it being a national NDRL event are they allowing big spoilers on the specs ?? I highly doubt itIt's not that it's too big, but back when the WoO ran there for the Pittsburgher he used to whine about the big spoilers and spillboards on the spec cars.
